Slugger - 2008-12-19 12:13 AM Cat, your dinners sound utterly delicious! I'm looking in to flights now...

let me know if you find good fares!

I'm not sure this is such a thing as "good fares" to Australia. They tend to be on the order of $1500! But I figure for that menu and company, it is worth it!

Have a great night! Hope you get some nice restful quiet and sleep.

I got up early to run today, even after my serving of wine last night.  I went outside, ran a quarter mile and came home.  Pitiful I know!  It is in the 20s and the air hurt my lungs.  I need to do something about that.  Any recommendations???  The do have school today (thought it might be canceled due to impending snow storm) so hopefully I can get back out and run later.

ETA: Never mind, they just cancelled school.   Snow day with no snow....yet.

Snow day for us too.  Although for me it meant sleeping in YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now we're eating a late breakfast, which my oldest (6) made ALL BY HERSELF. (She told me she is old enough now )  Got to love it.  BTW we're having bowls of cereal.

Hey Vixens, Happy Non-Snow snow day to you all.  I am glad I got back from VT last night rather than driving today.  My high-schooler and husband both have snow days today.  A little disconcerting as I like having the house to myself! I need to go to the grocery store for a few things-afraid it will be mobbed.  I also have yet to run but am planning to go out when the snow starts...looking to accumulate major crappy weather points.  :-) plus I love running in the snow.

Erica- have you tried warming up inside with a dreadmill or jogging in place before going outside? It may make it a little easier.  Any asthma history?

I am worried about Kristin's ear, does anyone know if she's seen a doc?  She shouldn't fly again before she is seen.

Well off to the store.

runnerx - 2008-12-18 11:01 PM I went to my son's high school swim meet tonight. Usually their meets are right after school so I don't get to go. Man oh man, that boy is fast!! And he's actually one of the slower ones on the team. MAN! He's only a sophomore (and young for it), so he's still got a lot of filling out to do, but as he got out of the pool, it's amazing to see the muscles in his arms, shoulders and back. Wow. Give him a year or two, and I'm gonna have to keep him away from you ladies and your wine.

that's awesome that you got ot go to his meet!  what is his event?

I swam in HS, so I love hearing about swimming (and swimmer's bodies are hawt!)

Yesterday he swam the 200 free, and the 400 free relay. He's also done the IM, and he NEVER wanted to do the butterfly. Guess this coach is convincing him otherwise.

But the meet was exciting - i've never been to a high school one. It's impressive to watch these young people so full of energy and just so healthy and all. I do remember back when I was in high school (Yeah, I do actually remember that far back) and the girls on the swim team always had such nice shoulders. (that's my weakness btw). Too bad i couldn't swim AT ALL back then. What was I thinking!? Could have done the ol' "poor me, I'm drowning, come save me!" But with my luck, I'd get the hairy dude lifeguard to jump in and start giving me mouth-to-mouth.

LOL!

I miss going to swim meets, my oldest son swam in HS his senior year he missed qualifying for State by 2/10ths of a second -

he was a sprinter, 50 free and 100 free and Breast

I swam in HS as well, free and breast - mostly 100's, knowing what I know now, I think the coach should have had me swim 200's and 500's

YEAH, btw  HI!!!!!!!!!!

ok, back to bidness

I just posted my prob in the suppert site place too but here it is:

My Team Link seems to be slowing everything down.  When I click on my Quick Liks control panel button the next page shows up but it won't let me do anything and after awhile a box pops up and says:

Stop Running this scrip?

A script on this page is causeing Innernet Explorer to run slowly, if continues to run your computer may become unresponsive.

Then it gives me two buttons yes or no.  Click yes and everything is good and I can go about my buisness, click no and everything shuts down.

This didn't start happening until I tryed making this Team link.  At first I thought it might just be page but then I got the team link in my logs and posted it in the team thread for others.  Well when I went to go back and edit that post the same thing happened I got the pop up box again but only after a long wait.  I'm wondering if this is just my computer or my team link and if others try to use it will it slow them up too?  Did I put something in the code that is causeing problems?  Or is it just my computer?

Does that make any sence?  I posted the Team link over on the other tread if you need to see it, but it REALLY slows me up so I didn't want to post it here too.

Thanks inadvace for the help.

Mel

Oh Beth you slay me.   I have no idea what mozilla is.    I can see the link/log everytime I post it, it just slows everything down and I get the box.  As long as I hit no then all goes well.  But then everytime I click on a page that has the link on it I get slow and the box.

LOL!  Hopefully someone can answer the question in the support forum, when it comes to the html stuff I'm pretty hopeless

I'll keep my eye on the forum and see if someone responds

you could also send an PM to site support and explain the problem and reference them to the support thread

so, like if you click on a thread that has the team table you created in it, your computer slows down - did I get that right?

Not the whole thread, just when I went to edit my post so that I could copy the table then it would slow down.

Yep, ask Beth. Especially if it has to do with HTML.

I just replied in the Team Links thread that's stickied at the top of the forum. After you try that, let me know if it's still a problem. The table looks nice, btw.

gotcha

Sorry Mel, this one is way over my head.  it happens to me as well, must be something in the table code

I did test it in Mozilla and didn't have the problem
