Ah geeze, you ladies are gonna be out of control in WA. Send us pics of she shenanigans please Wink

I predict cake, piglets, pizza, great passionate displays of emotion, and a whole lotta T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

But that's okay, I'm sure there will be lively parts as well

That sounds about right. Huh, Piglets before or after the race? What's your strategy?

No no no, my dear, "or" is simply not correct. Not in any context that involves good things.

Haha! My fav is the 14. Guy who bought a nice new white spandex unitard and shaved all of his extremities.

I think I would be the person who looked like they got flour-bombed with sunscreen.

Bob's Doggie Shoes right here!

OKAY I HAVE IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ONCE

I nearly dropped dead when my dad asked me if I was still planning to do the Ironman race in Perth (WA) in December, and if they'd really let me carry the Indonesian flag over the finish line. He asked me if I would get a medal, and maybe he could have it if he was still alive? (SEE BOTH MY PARENTS JUST WANT TO STEAL MY STUFF HA HA)

I didn't think he ever noticed I did triathlons or anything like that. I am shocked my father knows anything at all about my life that doesn't have to do with him.

He also said he'd hit up business friends for official sponsorship (most of my trip expenses are already paid but there's ALWAYS stuff I need money for on a major trip!) ... currently the most promising is Indomie, which is Our Nation's Very Most Favorite Brand of Instant Noodle! (and they export to Australia). Powerade Isotonik only sponsors me for local races and gives me free product.

That's so awesome!!

Blech. This newest round of cold/cough/whateveritis is moving steadily down my chest. I'm getting bored. Someone tell me that does NOT mean go out and do something, unless it involves a clinic or no more than, say, playing Yahtzee with my mom.

It's not the fun frontal bits. Just to clarify. And reinforce "fun frontal."

Speaking of fun frontal, I am having a hoot looking at the naked pics of Prince Harry. Another most lovely redhead!

You? FRAGILE? Snort. Exhausted, maybe.

I went to Lululemon today because I was trying to find this waterbottle.

bottle

Sadly, they no longer sell it.

Even more sad, I am too fat for all of their clothes.

I did buy a headband.  And, I think I'm going to use it as motivation.  If I lose 20 pounds, I get to buy some workout clothes there.

HAHA the Prince Harry pics! I haven't looked yet! J and I were running late this am because we were waiting for the news segment about' it' to come on. She's obsessed with celebrity leaks.

Harry certainly turned out to be the cuter brother BTW.

And I guess you might be right, exhausted and weak might be more appropriate. Don't send me over the edge!

Cute water bottle. I did a quick scour for them online and couldn't find anything not even ebay. Apparently they are a hot item!

My running partner does the ol' Lulu for motivation trick. Also, just a tidbit. One of the designers from Lulu does the Zella line at Norstrom (their house brand)....

Sigh. I do try to think of fruit as dessert. Needless to say there were six kinds of fruit at dinner tonight ... heh!

If it makes you feel any better, I can barely find any clothes at Lululemon when I'm slim. And that would be really stretchy yoga pants.

HOWEVER

Some of the men's clothes are really really nice and fit just fine.

I think you should reward yourself NOW as motivation to use the item. But I'm kind of a poor-impulse-control instant-gratification type gal, as you know.

I dunno, I just can't take a dude serious that wears Lululemon.

clearly too late

But back to PH, no kidding, right? But I'm always all about the redheads.

In the meantime, I seem to be a princess without a bride (or groom, whatever). The nice general's widow down the street whom we visit for end-of-Ramadhan offered up her exact-same-age grandson, and he was a very gracious and polite and not shabby at all looking piglet indeed. Perhaps I shall ask for his number.

The general and my dad were old friends going back to the war. As in, WWII. My dad is pretty much bed/house/wheelchair bound but he WILL walk (i.e., my sister and I carried him) to go visit him, or now that he's passed, his widow every year at this holiday time, out of love and respect.

(Hm, I think I have a pic of this somewhere ... very funny, actually ... my sister and I are sweating buckets).

Also, I believe this was between the births of the prince children, so they weren't there anyway, but I was not allowed to come to meet the Royals when they came to Indonesia, because my mom had caught me smoking in our storage room. Drat. Princess Di broke a heel off her shoe when she was walking with my sister (I still strongly suspect there were some shenanigans that caused this to happen), so my sister gave her her own shoes, which were slides. (Mules? Sorry, I have no idea what one shoe is from another. But the slipper-like with heels kind that really can fit a few sizes either way).

My advice for this literary gem is to flick the pages to the s*x scenes, the story is not worth reading.  Even the s*x scenes got dull.

Me, clutching my Manatee mug and sucking tea out of it.

Mutti: Vot a nice mug!

Me: MINE.

Mutti: Is that an ice bear on it?

Me: It's a Manatee. And it's MINE.

Mutti: May I see it?

Me: No.

Mutti makes grumpy face.

Me: Oh, all right. [Handing it over] See, there's this wonderful group of triathletes I mentor online ... we mentor each other ... anyway, we call ourselves the Manatees, so they sent me a Manatee mug.

Mutti: Vau! Vot a vonderfool gift!

Me: [smiling through clenched teeth] Mine. [Trying to take it back]

Mutti holds on to mug very tightly, pretending to try to read the names on the back.

Here ensues a Tom-and-Jerry struggle, each of us holding part of the mug and trying to take it ...

We have a THING for mugs in my family. My favorite mug story is when this boyfriend of mine gave me and my mom these huge, thick, matching Tinkerbell mugs (she was visiting LA from Indonesia). This boyfriend later disappeared without a word or trace, and it turns out he'd decided to move in with his ex-wife without letting anybody (me, his housemates, his best friend, his mom, etc.) know. I took all his stuff that was at my house, including the Tinkerbell mug, and dumped it on his mom's porch (she lived across the street from me). I would have set it on fire, too, but I liked his mom.

When I returned to Jakarta for a visit, there was my grumpy old manly-man ex-military dad, drinking his coffee out of the Tinkerbell mug, which he'd stolen from my mom.

Love this story!!!!  The Ice Bear! Vonderfool.

I have heard this..."literary gem" description. Sad. It's too bad they can never seem to write a hawt book that's well written and not cheesy as hell. Sighhhh.

Good to know!

The cashier at Lulu said that they were really popular, but they stopped making them and are switching to glass bottles instead of the steel.  She said she wishes they would bring them back because people ask for them all the time.

TriAya - 2012-08-22 4:36 PM Blech. This newest round of cold/cough/whateveritis is moving steadily down my chest. I'm getting bored. Someone tell me that does NOT mean go out and do something, unless it involves a clinic or no more than, say, playing Yahtzee with my mom.

Don't go do ANYTHING. Stay in bed young lady. And stop using phrases like "moving steadily down my chest"  I just got 50 Shades of Grey and will be in a...fragile state for the next week or so Wink

My advice for this literary gem is to flick the pages to the s*x scenes, the story is not worth reading.  Even the s*x scenes got dull.

They are super repetitive and sound like they were written by a 16 year old.  Also, it's Twilight and I cannot stand those characters.

I have heard this..."literary gem" description. Sad. It's too bad they can never seem to write a hawt book that's well written and not cheesy as hell. Sighhhh.

someone has recommended Kurshiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey?(not sure if that was the author) - fantasy but supposed to be hot too.  Downloaded it but still ploughing through first book of A Game of Thrones (good but no hawt!)
