I bought compression socks back in early September when i was cleared to run again after 5.5 weeks off. I've had some lower leg issues in the past, including a tibial stress fracture and I knew I'd be ramping the mileage up quickly so I figured they couldn't hurt. Long story short, I love them! I haven't run or raced without them since and I've had very little lower leg pain and swelling. Even after my 15, 18 and 20 milers. Some people swear they are BS, but why would the medical industry use compression if it doesn't work? Some people think they make you look stupid. I don't care. I just want to enjoy running and not break my legs |

Oh how I would love access to nice showers.. X2. I'd give anything to work out at lunch. Not that I take a lunch break, but I'd make the time if I had the chance to get in a workout. Edited by LazyMarathoner 2008-10-27 7:11 PM |

We have access to a gym across the road but the showers are so revolting I just cant convince myself to go... Especially since therre is NO airconditioning in the gym so its a big hot stinky sauna in summer... its actually cooler outside! |
