Morning, NIBBS!  It's going to be a beautiful, bright sunny day (albeit somewhat crispy cool out here).

Anyone else a Black Friday survivor?

Nope. I started my shopping at noon - after all the crazies had gone home.

I didn't shop, but had a little tete-a-tete with Sears on a mechanic not paying attention to a work order.

Wifey picked up a couple of items, though, for the kidlets.  I guess it turned out okay.

I am going to bandit the Seattle Marathon (half) in the morning.  I will be keeping Triathlynne company.

I am going to carry my own water and gels seeing as how I am not actually a participant.

oooh, good idea!  Maybe later.

After the race I went home and had some calamari and root beer.  I followed that up with a hot shower and then it was time to head out again.  I met my mom and sister at the local tree farm and we picked out a christmas tree.  It was more than 8 feet tall and very full...it's a Noble.  I hauled it into the back yard and shortened it up a bit and then made some space in the living room.

I managed to squeeze the tree through the doorways and got it all set up...there are even lights on it!

I am feeling a bit tired and my feet hurt, but I have had a very good day.

So the half mary...I did it with no training and at mile 6 I realized that my shoes were practically brand spanking new - they had all of 3 miles logged prior to today.

The toes on my left foot are a bit sore (my left foot is longer than the right) and I have a small blister on the inside of my right heel...very few problems considering the new shoes.  I had ankle pain on my left side-I think that I may need to change the lace configuration so that they don't come so far back.

I think that I will take a hot bath later this evening.  My knees, ankles and feet feel fatigued.
