Should not be a problem. I have a 8-9 mile tempo run planned for tonight. I even enlisted the help of a friend so I don't have to run by myself. This weekend I have my 20-miler. So that's already 28-29 miles planned, not including my 3rd run of the week, plus whatever I do the beginning of next week. -Bike 4.75 hrs. Yeah, that's where I've been slacking. I'll plan for a couple of trainer rides which will hopefully get me close. I'm itching for the weather to get nicer so I can bike outdoors again! -Lift 1.5 hrs. I should definitely be able to get that done. I usually lift on Wednesdays, though my lifting buddy's out of town this week. I may ride outdoors Wed evening instead of lifting, since it looks like it'll be nice. But I should get 2 good lifting sessions in early next week when my lifting buddy gets back (45-60 min each). -Yoga - 1 more class. I'm planning on going Thursday, so then that'll be it! Don't push too hard - you know if you are a little stiff or sore take a day or three off 20 Miler - I remember those days. Have fun. I actually loved the fact that after x mile I had never run that far before and it kept me going. Now I am lucky to run 1.5-2 miles so I miss the long days on the asphalt! Don't worry! If I'm super sore, I'll just go for a nice leisurely bike ride for a couple of hours, or attend a few extra yoga classes. You know, to move all that lactic acid out of my muscles This is my first 20-miler ever, actually. I'm getting excited for it! Hopefully it will be a nice day, not like last weekend! |

This weight is SO stubborn! Even being sick the last week hasn't done anything! I too am counting on the fact that there is still a week to go!!rnihill - 2010-03-22 10:32 PM Of course, now it's after 10 and I have the swimming hungries. Not good for goal #4. But I'm STARVING! I am bombing in my weight loss goal. I have gained weight this month. But, I still have a few days to drop some pounds, right??? All is not lost yet! It's been my observation that weight loss goals make poor challenge goals. I don't think I've ever had a teammate who was successful with this. geee could it be from all the talk about food? |

Hope it gets warmer...it is sunny here though! What is "vive"? Body Vive is an hour long low impact high intensity fitness class through Less Mills that I teach at the YMCA. Tons of fun! |

Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: bEASTies - March Winds Challenge MDHillSlug - 2010-03-23 9:16 AM I once lost a lens from sunglasses in the car. I was sure it fell between the seat and the console but I just couldn't find it. Every so often I'd look again, without luck. Eventually I gave up and threw the frames away. Quite a while later I was in an accident where I rear-ended another car. Found the lens at my feet, jarred loose from wherever it was hiding. I lost an earing that my hubby brought back from Belize. I kept the single just for sentimental reasons, about a year later a friend lost his wallet and thought he left it in hubby's truck, I went to look for it and found my earing wedged under the seat! hmmmmmm must have been a "really" good night! |

I am so excited, our insurance company APPROVED COLE'S HEARING AIDS!!! So, now the audiology people submit the payment forms and then after they get paid, Cole will be able to get them. I wish we could do it now but at $2000 a piece, I can see why they want payment first! ohhhh this is great news! |

We need to make our kids' bathroom "handicap accessible" for our oldest daughter, Rachel, who has CP. We faxed the contractor's quote to just about every agency in the tri-state area. Well our prayers were answered and the Center for Mental Health and Retardation is going to pay the bill. YEEEEE-HAAAA! YEAH! |

It's been my observation that weight loss goals make poor challenge goals. I don't think I've ever had a teammate who was successful with this. I agree. You can only control your diet & exercise. . . Whatever your body does with it is not completely in your control. A couple of years ago, when I first started exercising regularly, I was basically a gym rat going to the gym 6 days a week and really closely monitoring what I ate. I wanted to lose about 20 lbs, but for the first two months I only lost about 5 lbs, even though I went from a size 10/12 to a 4/6 in that time. Everyone kept telling me I lost a ton of weight, even though I didn't! Eventually, the weight came off months later when my body realized it didn't need it anymore. . . but for a while I thought the weight was never gonna come off and I would just continue to shrink! Now I don't really take too much stake in what the scale says as long as my pants fit (or get looser, depending on my goal) Same happened to me...I became an instructor and was working out and teaching and only lost 12 lbs in almost a year but had to purchase new workout clothes because everything was falling off of me! Members kept commenting on how much weight I was loosing....Finally after holding steady for over 6 mo has the weight finally started dropping. It was so frustrating! Even if the # on the scale isn't where I want it to be I look good! |

Now I don't really take too much stake in what the scale says as long as my pants fit (or get looser, depending on my goal) And most importantly... muscle weighs more than fat, so as you being to transform your body through an extremely rigorous exercise program (like triathlons), the pounds come off in a slower (HEALTHIER) way. Unlike the fad diets, where you're losing the body fat, but not building the muscle and, thus, not increasing your metabolism. The weight comes off quicker at first (a LOT quicker), but it also goes right back on A LOT quicker. Ya know... just sayin! |
