abqtj - 2012-06-02 4:57 PM Great pics Michele!

Don't you have some good news to share?

I suppose I do...

I passed my first state exam today to get my insurance license. One more test and I'll be an appointed agent. My stress level is WAY lower after I passed, thankfully.

Congrats Steve!!!

karen26.2 - 2012-06-03 6:13 AM Off to my ride, wish me luck! The host has kegs of home brewed beer & Boston butt waiting for us when we finish. My husband also has a nice keg of hefeweizen he brewed. (not sure the Boston butt is motivation, but the cold beer sure is.)

Have a great day Karen!!!

Good luck! Personally my motivation would be the Boston butt, but I am a BBQ aficionado

55 on the bike and 3+ on foot today.  Felt strong and the bike was pretty easy.  Pretty happy with how I'm progressing.  Also tried the GU diluted in a water bottle today.  I'm a convert.  Put the GU bottle in the torpedo and the water bottles in the rear mounts and was very happy with that setup.  Only bad thing was that I tried the Island Nectars flavor today.  YUCK!!!

Rudy PR'd the swim, had a good bike and totally imploded on the run is what kelly wanted to say.

not that i went too hard on the bike, i actually was reserved (for me) the hills just ate at me all day and showed up late in the run.

Once i was passed by the 4th Clyde mile 11 or 12, i shut it down and walked a ways back till the people.

I ran the end for the people, they stand out there and cheer for strangers for 6 hours plus, they deserve for you to make an effort and run past them so they can cheer some more, you have to respect the people, and if that means running when every fiber of your body says this sucks balls, you run anyway.

this course ate me up and spit me out, i did not have the race i wanted, but in the long run, that might be a good thing.

Been there - chewed up and spit out on more than one occasion - good learning experience usually.  Nice job on swim & bike.

Rest and recovery week for me before next weekend's race.  I'm happy to be resting  Recovery swim this a.m.

Taking the kids to the Cleveland Zoo in a couple hours.  I have no help going with me, so it ought to be interesting juggling the 4 by myself with the crowds.  I'm hoping they'll be super tired this afternoon, so we can hang on the couch and catch a movie.

rizer22 - 2012-06-02 11:15 AM I did the Lake T weeknight Sprint Tri series on Thursday night. This runs every other Thursday and is a great training event for a Thursday night. From ironmen to first timers show up. They had 170 show up Thursday.. By summer they get 250+. they set the swim at 825 per the GPS. Was supposed to be 500 yards and then each week they increase. Felt bad for some of the first timers that saw how far out the buoy was. Anyway, with only 6 swim sessions under my belt in 2012, my swim freaking blows. I really need to work on that. Out of 170 my swim was ranked 101. Ouch. But one positive thing about swimming so poorly is you get to chase people down. Bike ranked 50th and run ranked 22nd. So needless to say I caught a lot of people. Not what I want to have to do all the time, so I really need to work on that swim. Swim, 2:07 pace (included transition though, they don't give 5 splits for this event)Bike 19.6 paceRun 6:54 pace

Nice run pace, Jeff!  Congratulations!
