Evening again, nibbs.

So... did I ever find out what Columbus day was?

Oh, Christopher Columbus was the guy who thought he sailed around the world or something and was in India.  Turns out he was in what would be America, but he called the natives Indians anyway.  So, even though it was accidental, he discovered America.  Of course some people say it was some Viking guy.

Either way, there is a holiday named after him and no banks or government offices are open

Riiight... That would be like us having Cook Day then... which we dont have... but same concept...

So its basically an excuse for government people to have a day off?

I should learn how to knit... my Grandma tried to teach me as a child but I never learnt how to cast or finish so all that info has fallen out of my head now!

It's taken me a few times to get it to stick.  I still have to look up a few things, but it's a lot easier as I do it more often.

Guess that makes sense... practice nad all!

So sad, but no. I used to love baseball but it's gotten WAY too expensive ... crosstown trip, $20 just for parking, etc.

It's really sad how professional sports has almost priced itself out of the local fanbase.  I've always wanted to live in a city with a team, but then I realize I probably couldn't afford to go.

Definitely almost did today.  That's the downside of having a huge reservoir to ride along.  When the wing is coming off of it, it is serious.
