jacasa - 2013-01-08 5:15 PM I would like to donate my winnings to the Art Schlicter / Maurice Clarett "Wasted Potential" fund!

With Manziel's tweeted pics in a casino and another holding a bottle of champagne, I think he's channeling his inner Clarett.

His comments in defense are pure genius!

"It's hard when you're under the microscope and you keep doing all of the stuff you've been doing for awhile"

So apparently he goes to strip clubs and drinks while he's under 21, but it's no big deal because he's always done that. I have a feeling he's going to get into some trouble, which is a real shame because he's a stud.

Strip club age here is 18....so he's legal.

Drinking under 21, as long as your parent is with you and purchases the alcohol is legal

The cash....well, I think his folks are pretty well off.

He's had his share of issues while he was a true freshman.....I think that sumlin will keep a tighter hold on him, especially during the off season. He's a kid....we did ALL that plus some in college.

But most of us don't have a multimillion dollar future to watch out for.

I agree with what Josh said.

With beign a star comes responsibility, whether you are 20 or not.

If he goes Clarett, he flames out before it even matters.  If he follows Shlichter, well, at least he probably got a decent signign bonus before flaming out.

I was a kid when Schlichter got drafted by the real Colts - Baltimore, NOT Indy.  Shame to see him gamble away his future.

Read Art Schlicter's story sometime. Including how he went to the racetrack when he was young as well as his "wealthy" family. Manziel's behavior would be very concerning if I were an A&M fan.

I guarantee he gambled away any signing bonus he made in a very short time. I am the same age as Schlicter and have followed his life story since he was the boy wonder recruit for the Buckeyes. He has some serious mental issues and what he has done to some innocent people is unforgivable. What a waste of talent.
