Expert 1202 Montana | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers I got a short swim (2000 yds) and a good bike ride in today (30 miles). The bike ride was slow, as I have a buddy who is just now getting into biking. We had fun, though, and met a whole bunch of other people enjoying the weather. I'm up to 26.8% now, but bondgirl has 29%, woohoo! |

I'm up to 26.8% now, but bondgirl has 29%, woohoo! I'm a day ahead tho'. It's Friday for me already. I may need to up my goals also. I did my first swim with a tri club this week and I hadn't factored it into my goals and they swim way further than I would on my own. I didn't know if I would cope but I did. I'll look at my goals toward the end of the month. It is winter here and the weather could still muck things up. |

Nothing better than having a woman who cares enough about herself to train for something so personally rewarding....nice job team! Let's keep this thing cranked up! Need to get a run in tonight...will be a good break from the work that followed me home tonight. |

Actually, I have to get my miles in now, as my new job starts next week, and I doubt I'll be able to get any week-day rides in unless I take my bike with me to work. So I'm "banking" bike miles for now, and hoping to catch up on my running, and swimming later. We were supposed to go to the pool this morning, but Eric stayed up too late working on the car we bought for a currently-car-less friend so it'll be ready for his birthday next week. FUN.
Now, I really need to get on the ball about my core work. Literally. I mean, on the balance ball. |

Will train and log in during the week from Mexico...taking the kids so I will save myself from over indulging and staying out late. Want to get at least 3 strength sessions in as well....at least the place i am staying has some gym equipment. I can also go to the Golds Gym next door if the resort stuff is trashed. Everyone is doing great! We are going to win this thing as long as we all stay the course and not get behind on our weekly sub-goals. Hasta la vista! Jim Edited by gaiaserver 2008-06-05 11:51 PM |

It does seem kinda funny. |

What's everyone else doing? Have a good weekend! We are doing awesome in the challenge! On tap this weekend is a possible extra 24 mile bike tonight, 24 or 32 mile bike tomorrow and an open water swim, a 40 milish bike on Sunday and a soccer game. The bike ride tonight depends on if my sweetie gets done what he has to do in time to get it in, otherwise, since it's an easy week, I will take the day off :-) I'm done running for the week except for my soccer game I'm going to have to wear my garmin during the OWS (in my cap) so I can determine the distance for the challenge. I used it in Cayman and it worked fantastic Hopefully after a weekend of us all getting our workouts in we will come out on top and some of us can get back our freedom to choose our avatars |

What's everyone else doing? Have a good weekend! We are doing awesome in the challenge! Two of my DDs and I are running in The Governor's Cup 5k tomorrow. My sister and BIL are running, too. There are supposedly several thousand people who do this run/walk. Should be interesting. I might run with DD#2 because she is slow, and I don't want her to get intimidated by the crowd. She is a timid 14yo. |

I'll 2nd that. x3, Captain Avenger! Let's see, this weekend: short swim/short run tonight, 8-mile run tomorrow, MuddyBuddy on Sunday. And I'll try to squeeze in a core session on Saturday or Sunday. I'm also working tomorrow, so it's going to be a busy few days. |

Do you work from home? If so, I'm jealous. My goal is to be able to work from home. Until my goal is achieved, I work for my father's plumbing & heating wholesale company. I've been here ten long years, ever since college. It's a super flexible job so I'm able to basically come and go as I please, provided my job is done, which it is :-) No kids and not married, but I have a wonderful sweetheart. No kids and a flexible job make it pretty easy to get training in. The biggest challenge I have is finding the right time so every friend/training buddy in my small group of friends/training buddies can train together for the long rides/runs/ows. |

Now, I really need to get on the ball about my core work. Literally. I mean, on the balance ball. Well, it's a 1990 Honda, so it's not like a bling bling new car. But it'll get him where he needs to go that he can't reach by bike. My Honda is a 1982, and still going strong, so that leads me to hope that even if it looks like poo, it'll keep running for a while. We're trying to come up with a clever way to surprise him with it. Right now, I'm torn between wrapping the keys in a series of nesting boxes, or doing a clue-by-clue present thing. |
