Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Ya may want to give a looksey at the spreadseet, Super Cat. I was at 5 of 12 stages after week one, but it says I'm at 20.83%. I think it's because it adds the percentage of stages done to the percentage of time/distance done and divides by two. I have no time/distance goals because, well, I just don't know how far I'm gonna go whenever I get on the bike. Soooo... in other words, I'm only getting half credit Gues I better step it up. |

Week 2 is already looking good then! |

Extreme Veteran 335 Herriman, Utah | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Well, I did my second triathlon during the Tour de France challenge on Saturday ... fun, challenging sprint at a very scenic lake about 7,500 feet above sea level in Scofield, Utah. Unfortunately, my work got really, really crazy last week and that, coupled with a broken bike until late Friday, sidelined me for part of the week. I know, excuses, excuses. My predicament now: Get in 3 stages and almost 60 miles (that's a TON for me) in the next two days because I'm going to Lake Powell on a houseboat for the duration of the challenge on Wednesday. I told my wife about this "dilemma" and we were considering going to the lake on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. She said: "We can't go until Wednesday so you can complete your challenge!" So, there ya go team -- my wife has our backs. It's gonna be hard, but I'm gonna hit my goal by Wednesday morning.... |

Im way ahead on my time goal.... this girl has out done herself this year and managed not to get sick! So proud... so very very proud... so far! Awesome Cat - that's excellent! I'm now on my mountain bike for the rest of the challenge. Had a crash in the Pittsburgh Triathlon yesterday that knocked out some gears, brakes, and the alignment somewhat. It wasn't fun looking down at a squeewif (one of my wife's words) front wheel. There's more in my log, and I'll detail it in my race report, but I finished up alright. On the bright side, it meant I was able to add some minutes for the challenge! |

Extreme Veteran 335 Herriman, Utah | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread C'est tout pour moi! Je suis fini! Je plaisante ... j'ai fini!!! Chouette! I think -- from my rusty French -- that means I'm finished! Awesome! I needed to get in 2 rides today for 32.5 miles and two stages before my vacation. I did the first one -- 30 miles to my work via a flat-tire pit stop (finally got to use my CO2 gun, that was cool!) and then to WeightWatchers and then to the bike shop to fix my derailleur and brakes. I was pooped by the time I got to work despite the short breaks, but I felt pretty good most of the way. We're leaving at 4:15 a.m. tomorrow, so things got quite hectic and time ran out on me for a ride until 10:30 or so tonight. I taped a flashlight to my handlebars, put on my flashing red rear safety light and took off. About a minute into my nearly pitch-black ride, the heavens opened up and dumped a downpour on me. AWESOME!!!! What a great way to finish my personal Tour de France -- at night, in the rain, sore bum from a long morning ride, realizing how spooky parts of my town are in the dark ... I couldn't stop smiling! Thanks for letting me be part of Team CSC Saxo-Bank! I wish you all the best and hope we finish strong! Now, off to the houseboat, wave runners, sun and relaxation from my ride down Champs Elysees! |

Expert 957 Reykjavik, Iceland | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Hi team
I am done ! which is good since I will not ride more before the Tour is over, I will be leaving for Germany in a couple of hours, where I will run my first Marathon on Sunday. That actually scares me a lot more then doing 180k on the bike
CSC is leading the tour and hopefully they will end up on top, just like we will in this challenge
GO CSC |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread The TdF Challenge will be over soon. So how are you going to stay motivated NEXT month? Interested in another challenge? There is a "Casual Challenge" planned for August. You can set goals for RUNNING and/or SWIMMING and/or BIKING and/or OTHER (strength, yoga, etc) and/or WEIGHT LOSS. (You may sign up for ANY or ALL of these goals.) There will be no teams (unless we get a lot of people signing up, then I'll split the group). It's just a friendly challenge to help people achieve their workout and weightloss goals. Click below to read about the August challenge, or sign up for it: http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid... - Dee |
