Pro![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Morning gang. I ran 4 before work today. Temp was great but it was wet. Snow/freezing rain added some htfu points to the day. Can't wear the sunglasses in the dark, so the rain/snow stung the eyes a bit. Also hit a few puddles. To be honest though, it wasn't that bad and I kind of enjoyed it in a sick way. I ran in town and saw the "what are you crazy?" looks from more than a couple drivers who were out in the early hours. Tonight I will get some time on the trainer. |

Pro![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ironannekidd - 2010-03-03 7:21 AM HEY!!! We were mentioned over in Tri Talk on page 8 of the post count thread. Just thought I'd share that. IMHO I don't think post count matters. You can have someone with 20 posts who has been doing triathlons or whatever pertaining to the forum you are on for years and they just found the site. Or you can find someone with a bazillion posts who has never done whatever. I don't think it's the quantity of posts but the quality that makes your information valuable. That's just me. Ann, I totally agree. But I do love the Ghoulie chat. Could care less about post count even if it is fun to celebrate a milestone number. I think that is just the nature of many people drawn to this site. They like tracking things. Miles run. Miles biked. Beer mile times (that one I'll explain later if you're not familiar with it), PR's, whatever. Posting is just one more thing some people here like to track. |

Champion![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() MORNING GHOULIES! ANN. THE GHOULIE SHIRT ROCKS....it may just what i need to get back in the groove for my runs. cant wait to wear it at the Y. ![]() TOM. thanks for caring about us GHOULIES. stories like this, and the ones that have come close to home about runners and cyclists getting hit/injured/killed by negligent drivers, honestly is what keeps me indoors most of the time. its a CRAZY world we live in, for sure. and ive got three little people depending on me to keep my feet FIRMLY on the planet. im waiting on a dryer to be delivered. the one we got when we first got married FINALLY, AFTER 19+ YEARS expired. seems fitting. we had a good run. as soon as they come and get everything hooked up, my intention is to do a long run today, hopefully 6 miles/60 mins whichever comes first. even though ive lifted off any expectations right now until i get my head screwed on straight, i still want to keep some base to my running. my last long run was 5 1/2, so i should be good. we'll see what my head/heart/body say later on today. i can always grocery shop instead. that'll be fun. onward! stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2010-03-03 7:55 AM |

IM A NEW WOMAN! its all good. and i met the HIPPEST COUPLE here at Mad Mex today. she recognized the scent of my lotion. i always know the person is gonna be uber hip when they do ![]() i shared with them about Josephs tour...apparently she suffers from migraines. theyre going to make a point to make it to one of Josephs events after i told them about his work/that he could help. then they shared with me about a CSA/Organic Farm where i can get a bushel of organic produce 1x a week, May through September for $450. SCHWEEEEEET! AND i was able to share guest passes to the Y wth them. they've been wanting to visit/join. SCORE ONE FOR THE Y. and the husband was a competitive swimmer and looking to get back into it, so i was able to pass on info about the Masters swim team i LOVE these seredipitious encounters. the make my day for sure. stacieb Hey Stacie! I'm starting to think Mad Mex should put you on the payroll. With all the folks you meet there and the extra orders that come as a result, the least they could do is give you a commission! Seriously though, sounds like you had a cool afternoon! TOM. i actually am considering working here first, cuz i just love the people. second, cuz i get free food and (i believe) free alcohol. ive never been a waitress before, i dont even think that i'd like it/be that good at it, but..... i do LOVE their food and their White Sangrias&Margaritas that much. ![]() stacieb I would come be your customer!! I am a good tipper...especially for a little extra margarita ![]() Yep I'm a lush TopPage oh i can definately hook you up in the xtra margarita department. the cute boy every once in awhile bartender but always there manager is a friend of mine. come in whenever. ![]() stacieb |

We will see how long I last sitting at my desk. Tom - I read the article on CNN this morning before I read your post. I hope the man they have in jail is the person responsible and all of this can come to a quick and just end for her family. I do not run with mace, but I am protected, and I know how to use it. We will leave it at that. I take my cell with me when I run most of the time, too. I live in BFE and you never know what may happen. Luck favors the prepared. On a brighter note - I am so happy everyone got their shirts so quickly. I hope you like them. My nephew helped with the graphics. His resume includes art director/graphic designer for Maxim, Rolling Stone, GQ, and he helped start up a new magazine in NYC, the name slips my mind at the moment. He also spent a year in Prague helping to get a new magazine up and running. I need to remember to send him a thank you. Have a slam dunk day Ghoulies!!! Ann, first hope you start feeling better. Second, have to ask...what does BFE stand for? I googled it and came up with nothing that made sense. I'm guessing I could get the F right but the whole thing isn't coming together for me. ![]() |

I can go on a 10 mile run on a Sunday morning and see 2 cars, if I see that many. Lots of woods, lots of fields, not a lot of houses. When I was meeting with the investigator for my top secret clearance she asked about my neighbors, they had to not be family. She wanted the names of 5 neighbors. At the time I couldn't see 5 houses from my house, and 2 of the ones I could see were related. A few more have gone up since then, but there still aren't many. |

Tonight is out as well so hoping the sun is shining tomorrow when I get back from Syracuse and get some cool country sunset pictures!! Looks like a 5:45 sunset today so hopefully I can get out and get a short run in when I get home from work. |
