pdbman - 2010-03-24 2:25 PM I may be doing some late night training again.  They made some program changes to the existing program that didn't include the changes that I just made so I had to go back and redo my changes.  Now I get to test it again.
uuuuuh, what? You lost me on that one, Paul!!

I made some changes to a program and had tested it but it was waiting for someone to change another program before we could move it into production for everyone to use (both programs work together).  Well, the powers that be decided they wanted another change to the program I had worked on and didn't want to wait for my changes to go to production first. So they took the program that was currently in production (that didn't have my changes), made the other changes, and are moving it to production before my changes.  That means I have to take the program they just made the changes to (that doesn't have my changes) and make my changes again.
Does that make more sense?  If not, then think of it this way:  Someone screwed things up so I had to go back and redo work that I already did once before. I was able to finish it up last night but it threw off my whole evening. But that's for another post.

Ironically, it did make sense!

I try to practice this rountine since some of the XTERRAs divide the swim into two segments.  They will have you swim the loop, beach run, then swim the loop again.

If the weather stays nice, I'm hoping to get out this week and practice in the ocean.

We had more snow this week.  No OWS for the foreseeable future.

Where do you OWS?  Utah Lake?

Utah lake is pretty slimy. Lots of algae floating around.  There are a lot of reservoirs around that people swim in.  I think the most popular for tri training is a small local one that was just built last summer that is on the south end of the Salt Lake valley and Echo reservoir, which it the location of one of the most popular and probably one of the oldest tri's around. Echo is a little farther drive, probably an hour drive for me.

Are you in Ogden?

West Jordan.

Holy cow Paul, my husband is from and most of his family is still in Draper!!

Call me naive but what the heck is millet??

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-25 1:48 PM I get to go listen to a 5th grade boys sex-ed talk - fun times!!! - LOL

My son didn't even want me coming but I have to - I told him we would go for pizza afterwards and I would correct all the bad stuff they said!

Just think it will be my first education in the subject and I am 43!  My parents did not do a real bang up job educating us

Is it just that generation or what?  My parents avoided that conversation as well.

x3 and i'm the only girl out of the 5 of us who didn't end up pregnant before marriage...is it wrong of me to make a correlation here?!?

Another miserable swim.  Just haven't been feelin' good in the water lately.

On another note, I had the most unpleasant experience in the pool. So, I'm mid set and all of sudden I get this strong odor of perfume and I literally can't breathe.  I actually had to stop to catch my breath.  Well, in the lane next to me, an old lady got in and was doing this pseudo breast stroke to keep her hair dry as she swims.  Oh my god, the smell was so strong.  Why are people so inconsiderate?  ignorant?  Use your own adjective here!  Luckily I was able to move lanes.

I've heard other people complain about this, but never experienced it personally.

Since there has been talk of facebook, can someone help me find where the hell to find a list of MY friends from my homepage? Since they revamped it I can't find how to get to someone's page who hasn't posted something recently. Now, I know I'm not the most computer/facebook savvy person but COME ON!!

That's pretty bad that it happened in the pool! I have chronic sinus issues and strong smells like that coming from perfume/cologne baths give me an instant headache that won't go away so I would probably drown if it happened while swimming!

I used to work in a DAs office so I resisted for a looooong time (after seeing the things that happen because of sites like that) but everyone I know is on facebook now so I succumbed to the peer pressure!

Useless info about to follow:

So, speaking of Draper, you know those mountains that are right there (the Wasatch front, I think?! sorry if that's wrong)? Those are the first mountains I ever saw in my life. (Some life history here...)I grew up in OH, joined the Army and was sent to OK as my first duty station where I met my hubby. When we went to UT and I saw those mts, I was in total awe (and still am to this day when I see them or the Rockies!) I remember staring at them and my hubby asking me what I was staring at. I told him the mts and that "they don't look real. They look like something out of a movie, like they were superimposed or something." To this day, he laughs his arse off when that is brought up!

I haven't experienced the perfume, but I can imagine how irritating it could be.

I will agree with you.  When driving through Salt Lake last year, I was amazed at how close the city sits to the range.  It is definately an awe inspiring site.

tri808 - 2010-03-25 4:44 PM I just finished my normal lunch run.  I cut it to 4 miles instead of the usual 5 because I just wasn't feeling it.  Normally by mile 2-3 I get into the zone where running becomes almost effortless.  But today was a little harder, and my HR was about 8-10 bpm higher than normal.  I figured it was my body's way of telling me it wasn't up to par.

It is always a good idea to listen to your body.
