I definitely like the color. And of course that is the most important consideration when buying a bike frame. It even matches my gym bag.

goodness... day 1 of the challenge and already 8 pages!!

Well Spring is officially here!  my entire class was sniffling and sneezing so allergy season has definitely arrived!  I hope I won't get too sick from allergies this year... would not be good for my 5ks coming up!

Hmmm... tempting!  My husband and I have been alternating Dallas and 24 reruns from Netflix to watch on our trainers.  We're almost caught up on 24 though and have been debating what series to do next.

I love catching up on my TV shows while on the trainer.  I do a moderate intensity/moderate resistance during the show, then during commercials, pop it into the big chainring on the front and the smallest on the back and do an out-of-the saddle hill climb.  I know, I know... the whole idea behind DVR is to fast forward through the commercials, but it helps to vary the workout.  By the way, who shot JR?

Kristen, Sue Ellen's sister.    Ask me a tougher one.  Wink

I was in England when the "who shot JR" thing happened. Its funny how they thought that since I was American, that somehow I had some kind of inside scoop. Get real. I didn't even care.

I still don't!!!!!

Paul change that status line brother - you are a champion!!!!

I've been waiting for the official announcement. I added a line to my signature but then thought I would wait for something official to be sensitive to those who were on the "other team" that have now seen the light and joined the right team for this month's challengeWink.  I'm sad that we lost a couple though.

Hmmm, that's a good idea!  I don't have a DVR so I'm forced to either watch commercials or flip channels (I know I'm in the dark ages, but before I bought my trainer in Feb, I can't remember the last time I turned on my TV).

Next time I'll just practice climbing during commercials!!

I think I need to start watching DVDs while on the trainer. . . I've just been relying on good old regular TV.  I'll add 24 to my list of things to watch.  Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Missy, I hadn't watched tv in forever either until we got our trainers.  They are great for both biking during the crappy outdoor months and catching up on some tv!
My husband and I would also play a "game" during 24 (no commercials with Netflix) where we each picked a character.  Every time that character was on screen, we had to sprint.

If you are at all a cryer (like me Cry), I do NOT recommend Grey's Anatomy.  I've been watching that sometimes DVRd on tv and crying while biking is not a good thing!!

I've heard Lost is good?  I was thinking about that next...

My favorites are Chuck and Psych.
If you like British TV, I also recommend the new Dr Who seasons.

So, with all this TV talk I think I forgot to mention that I got my sneaks and I actually got outside for a 3.5 mile run.  I did not want to come back in!!  I am so excited for some nice weather this weekend.

I'm going to be shuffling off to Buffalo soon, but will catch up later.  I also need to post my goals at some point.  I'll have some time on the drive out there to figure it out.  They will definitely involve S/B/R...  tryign to decide on what to pick as my 4th...  I have too many things to work on!

Are you thinking about going from a Felt hardtail to the full suspension Salsa?

The part swap is hard to say without knowing which Felt frame.  Something I noticed on the Salsa frame that is a little wierd is a 35mm seat tube.  This might cause some problems with the front derailleur.

Does that answer your question?  If you want, send me the specs and I'll run a comparison for you.

Short, but sweet this morning.  Decided to do a brick today.  Sounded like fun for some reason.  First brick session in months!

Oooh, thanks for the TV suggestions!

I've already seen the whole BSG series, but wouldn't mind watching it again on the trainer Wink  I'll put Bones, Chuck, Psych, and Dr. Who on my list (I've seen episodes of all of those and like them, so I don't know why I didn't remember them).

I got mine mid-Feb, and haven't been that consistent in using it.  It's definitely convenient for riding in bad weather, as long as you remember to get on it!

Rhoda, that's another good idea for a game!  So, I probably shouldn't pick Jack Bauer, huh?

Yes - for that price for a full suspension - is it crazy or do you like the Felt better?

Let me look for the specs and I will get them to you!

Thanks!

That's a can of worms my firend!  This opens up the whole 29er, 26er, 650 question.  29er, as you know, was designed to give you better shock absorption through larger tires while still giving you the power transfer of a hardtail.  So, then the question becomes, do you need a full suspension 29er or should you be riding a full suspension 26?  Things that make you go hmmmm.  Its all personal preference.  If this the way you want to go, I'm more than happy to help you out.

As for the price, remember grams cost dollars.  Check the weight and compare to your Felt.
