It is safe for work...  Will Ferrell in Elf...  perhaps the best Christmas movie to come out since Ralphie's A Christmas Story...

Blasphemy!

Die Hard is, has been, and always will be the best Christmas movie ever.

daisy2908 - 2010-07-06 9:14 AM Slacker here! Real name Norine.

I just put my goals in the spreadsheet last night.  We just moved, so I'm a little behind.  Though, I argue that moving furniture all day Saturday counts as a strength workout.  Because 2 days later, I'm sore as all get out.

I got a run in this morning.  Plan to hit the gym tonight.

I'll catch up with you alls after work!

Moving. Bleh. I agree, we should be able to log it. Maybe it can count as "Home Improvement." Either that, or Pole Dancing. Proof that BT was written by men --> Pole Dancing counts as a loggable activity, but House Cleaning does not.....

Pole Dancing! Forgot to log that.....

My child is finally put to bed.  Its after 9pm here, btw.  We're not exactly the most disciplined of parents....

So...tomorrow I'd like to wake early and get to the gym.  I think I can do it... we moved closer to my work, so no more 40 mins spent on I-25 in rush hour traffic.  Yay!

Happy Tuesday!

We're not very disciplined parents either.  Baby bedtime is regularly around 10PM.  He sleeps all night, though!  Pick your poison!

I agree! I'd rather him sleep all night.  Which is sporadic .... last night he slept from 11:30 ...and is still asleep at 6:20am.

Are you a native to Denver?

I grew up in Lakewood and never had the privilege of having to drive in that traffic unless it was after a Bronco game.

I am so glad I live in Buffalo with my 20 minute/20 mile commute - I hit traffic about 4 x a year and that is usually when it snows and people forget that we live in Buffalo and should know how to drive in the snow!

Native? Who's a native of Colorado anymore  ?    No, I'm not a native.   ARMY put me in Colorado Springs for a few years.  Got out 2 years ago and took a job in Denver.  We lived in Castle Rock for a year, hence the horrific commute.

Good morning team.  Got a 1 hour trainer ride in this morning.  Heading to the gym for a treadmill run at lunctime (to avoid the 101 degree temperatures, I'll endure the dreadmill).  At least this weekend the weather guessers are calling for cooler temperatures (high 80's, low 90's) Undecided

I still haven't put my goals in the spreadsheet.  For some reason, the spreadsheets are blocked here at work, but the BT site is not.  It may be because our head of online security is a distance runner.  But my goals will be 11 sessions each of swim, bike, run.

just curious so I'm coming to experts for answers!
What's so special about the TdF that it gets all this coverage?  Don't misunderstand - I love it but there are several other major 'Tours" that don't seem to receive the attention (at least in the USA.)  The Swiss Tour, for example, was great but didn't see much about it except for the final TT.  Is it a marketing thing, a Lance thing, or am I just not looking in the right places for coverage of the others?

Oh yeah, forgot about LeMond and what he did for American cycling on the international stage.  Thanks - makes sense!
Cycling is kind of like soccer regarding the bandwagon thing.  It used to bother me that people talked so much trash about soccer - boring, not enough scoring, less talented athletes, etc.  Now, and especially during this year's World Cup, I'm fine with it.  It gets a little tiring hearing all the "experts" lecture me about it after they've watched 3 games.
Kinda like me giving you training advice!

I've noticed a lot more Triathlon coverage on TV recently, mostly on the Versus channel or on the Comcast sports channel.  I just do a search on "triathlon" and find 1 or 2 races televised each week.  I DVR them and then watch them in the morning when I'm on the trainer.  Watched the XTERRA World Championships this morning... good stuff!

I am always open to advice !!

I just ride my bike a lot!

I stink at swimming and cannot run more than 3 miles with an injury issue!

Afraid I can't help much - have that same 3 mile block and my next goal is to maintain 12mph on the bike!  I'm thinking about ditching the stopwatch - a calendar might work just as well!   Good news is there's plenty room for improvement.   Only advice I have is what I use:  "Left, Right, Repeat" but obviously I'm a simple kind of guy!

Good to hear your running is back up to 3 miles. I'm guessing the VFF helped?
