Consistency is great. Getting out the door daily !!! Nice! I agree......I'm just looking for some consistent, pain free, running. This challenge is all about consistency for me, and I think Muskrat as well (but he won't talk to me because I'm 4 days ahead of him and he has no hope of catching me). HA!!! This is the "we're not running far, but we're running every day" challenge. Look, we're already outside the bounds because they've let this post ride on the main board....so we welcome anyone to start at any time and get their 30! Fair warning......I have no plans, at this time, to stop at 30...you may be sucked into the vortex. I am not liable for your coming addiction. Edited by Left Brain 2012-09-26 11:24 PM |

Master 10208 Northern IL | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? 15 runs in 12 days. Question, I have another duathlon coming up (though I think it's just past the 30 days). It's a sprint, so very short runs. I mapped it out and the runs came out to 1.99 miles. How would this count if they turn out to be under 2? I'll be well under 20 min and it's the same course for both runs. |

If it's 1.99 miles - it won't count and you will be out of the club of cool runners that can say they ran 30 days in a row. If you want to keep the streak alive, just run past the finish line, into the parking lot about 25 feet then turn around and run back to the finish line. I am available for more expert advice from 9-5. Good luck in your race. |

I can't believe you didn't say anything about my reason for my run being such a good run yesterday. I met "Julie" on the run. We ran together, we talked....she's hot...it was cool. Gotta mix it up every so often, right? Show off.... I only run with my 25 lb vest on. Hey I actually have run with 40. As I've lost over 100 pounds, I really want to put that much on some time. I settled on the weight I lost since starting running, which was the whole vest as of May. I had a bounceback this summer, so I am just putting on the 30 for now. I don't do it often. Just to remind myself. I'm not one of these actual bad- who runs in full turnout gear or some such thing. Just a "wow, I was a lot heavier - keep losing." Some day when I break 200, I want to find a safe way to carry 165 pounds and see how it was I even WALKED around a few years ago. |

All joking around aside - this is awesome...keep up the good work, and let me know when you crack 200. I should try a 40 lb vest. I lost 40 lbs since starting my training last year. I am happy with where I am now, but would be interesting to try to run with that 40lbs back on. |
