I should get my new schedule today. I'm really worried about fitting it all in, but I guess I just have to start, and see how it goes: I have 20 weeks till my half, and I am considering going down to TN with a friend in 16 weeks to do one of the REV3 races.

Oh boy, I am so late to the party.

Sorry guys, life has been a tad hectic these past few weeks!

I will likely be reading more than I post as I start back to school this coming week, but I will join in as much as I can. I've really missed this group.

Good Afternoon Team RFP.

Darrin - great to have you, I am guessing Tim will say welcome aboard. I see you have done one Sprint - awesome - where do you want to go from here?

Anne - I am glad you don't have to have that done either - oh, don't worry, I will share more than that with you

Deb - Cheeky - looking forward to seeing you in LP - thanks for the encouragement. What Rev3 in Tenn and when?

KTC - all good so far, 1 week down, 27 more to go and this one is off to a decent start. Nice swim and short run yesterday - short trainer ride later today on the schedule.

OK -team - what else is going on? I think we would all list our A races and I will compile them with dates and post so we all know who is where and when so start cheering

My "A" race is HIM Racine on July 20th but my first race will be March 16th. I will be doing a half marathon. A great way to kick off the season.

My 'A' race for this year is Shep 70.3 (16th November) and of course for next year it is Ironman Australia (3rd May??). I was going to do Geelong 70.3 in Feb, but have decided not to as I am trying to save up for a Cervelo P2 TT bike and also I don't want to put too much pressure on myself going into IMOZ.

Just found out today that my LBS will let me pay off my TT bike whenever I can afford to, whether that be 6 months or 12 months. So I am going to save up $1,500 and put it on lay away and then hopefully have it paid for by IMOZ. I'm getting a Cervelo P2, either last years model with Ultegra gearing or this years model with the upgraded frame and 105 gearing. They are both roughly around the same price, $3,700-$3,900 (yes bikes are dearer in Aust cause of our economy at the mo). I am so excited, I am going to be saving like a woman possessed!

Welcome Darrin!

I like listing our A races. My is an Olympic tri on June 14th. I may have another one but right now I am planning my races on a whim.

Simone, great news on the bike.

Deb, very excited to hear you got to sign up early for volunteering at LP. Did they offer an express pack or something along those lines?

Does anyone swim with ear plugs? Typically I don't but last year I read that one should wear them if they are swimming in cold water so I bought a pair for IMAZ and now I kick myself if I forget them when at the pool. Can't believe how much of a difference they make. The big difference is balance when getting out of the water.

Hey Todd - I'm doing the March Madness Half Marathon in Cary IL. It's sold out. Every year it sells out in about 30 minutes because they only let in about 1K runners. I like doing this one because it keeps me running over the winter and it's close to home.. I just hope my Achilles hold up. So far so good.

I might give them a try Kathy, I always get water in my right ear, mostly cause I breathe on that side, but it's a pain in the butt.

In reading through the posts I think I answered my own question. That being said, I am in!

STORY: I did my first triathlon at 14, but didn’t get seriously into long course until 2012. I ran throughout high school and did my first marathon in 2008 (still my PR which slightly irritates me, 3:12). After several marathons I was injured and couldn’t train for quite some time, I gained weight and went through the whole “trying to get back into it” process. After rehabbing etc. I was content with simply working out until my big sister signed up for her first IM in 2011, after watching her finish twice I knew I had to get out there and see what I was capable of, that brought me to IM Coeur d’Alene in 2013 (12:40). Last year I also did the Racine 70.3 and the Chicago Marathon, so clearly I have the racing bug again!

FAMILY STATUS: singleish

CURRENT TRAINING: Currently in my 2nd week of training for CDA 2014

2014 RACES: Coeur d’Alene, Racine 70.3 , possibly Muskoka 70.3

WEIGHTLOSS: Weight is ALWAYS an issue for me, esp. in big training periods as I feel I justify eating a bunch of junk because of the training (it’s vicious cycle). I'm at a healthy weight, I guess I'd just like to keep it there, if that makes sense.

Hey Deb.

I believe there is - you have to safe it in a spread sheet with in a CSV format. I am sure our beloved techno geek and mentor Tim will chime in and tell you how to do it.

What is TP anyway?
