Subject: RE: KathyG's group- Fullso at the doc today, I weighed in at 135. My first thought was, is my digital scale off by ten pounds (too heavy )?! the nurse answered, quite possibly, sure. I was pretty elated, seeing as my scale hasn't BUDGED. Not that I've been working for it to, but c'mon, this is pretty good news, seeing as I'm suffering from some sinus monster in my throat. The doc looks at my chart and I see the WTF thought bubble go up. He says let's make sure it's calibrated correctly and puts me on a different scale.
I still believe he could've been nice enough to change my chart afterwards and NOT told me and let me carry on the rest of my day on Cloud 9, but no. Sure enough the second scale in their closet weighed me in (correctly, I assume ) around 144. I'm still waving my fists at him. Hey, atleast there's no grape cough syrup involved.
In other news, I've added the Capital Texas Triathlon to my race schedule. After hearing news tonight of my grandmother having lymphoma cancer, I'll be running the tri as a member of Team in Training North Texas Chapter. They raise money to increase awareness and research of leukemia and lymphoma. After I get registered, I'll post some more info about donations. Any and all are greatly appreciated and go to a great cause.
I wanted to let you guys know how much your support means to me. |
