I feel like all politicians just lie and say what you want to hear so it's kind of pointless to watch. Man, I am thought I was the only one that was thinking that. Neither one of them can follow the rules that they agreed upon either. What's up with that? It's deteriorating as it goes on as well. At least I'll sleep well tonight, it's boring the heck out of me.

I was never athletic at all aside from running (more like jogging) so it was a totally new experience for me. There is nothing quite like the first race as well. Looking forward to it.... The couple of people I was telling about my plan think that I am crazy... I am so glad, that I found BT!!! ;-) Everyone except for other triathletes will think you're crazy. I'm surprised my friends and family haven't staged an intervention BT has been a life saver and I've met a lot of great people here. When I was out jockstrapping and signing up for IMWI I got to meet a bunch of BTers I'll be racing with so I already feel like I'm doing it with friends. |

Weve got it on all the office TVs here... but thankfully Im not quite close enough to hear the details... This is the first time I can remember there being quite so much interest here in the US debates/election... always a lot of interest but it seems much BIGGER this time! (obviously what happnes in the US affects this part of the world) That's likely because most of the world is thrilled that our current administration is coming to an end. FINALLY. |

Surely thats a good thing - I think the best result would be that more people get out and vote right? Although I will admit the whole electoral college thing seems to destract from the whole 'people getting their say' thing... (from my understanding of the US electoral system which lets be honest is mostly from programs like the West Wing) I always find it fascinating that someone can win the 'popular' vote in teh US but NOT win the election! |

I think I'll try to be out of town for that. Like deep in the heart of the Amazon or the African bush where there are no TVs nearby. |
