Whew that was a close one! I bet he wasn't loving that run...

Nice "c" reference btw!

KelliD - 2009-05-21 1:28 PM If you remember, on the bike course there's a nice 1 mile descent....few hills leading up to said descent.  In additional to the oly there was also a HIM going on.  Nearly to the top of the final climb before the descent, and a HIM guy fully decked out with a sweet bike, aero helmet & awesome trisuit, whizzes up the hill past me but then moves right and slows...still moving faster than me though.  I really want to hammer to the top to I can take off when I hit the downhill, but I'm sure what aero-dude is up to in front of me so I'm feeling a hesitant about passing.  Toy with the idea "to pass" or "not to pass" for a few seconds.....decide to sit in the back seat for a few more seconds thinking he's going to take off at "c" speed the second we crest the hill.  Best. idea. ever.  Next thing you know aero-dude leans left and lets out a projectile wave of orange!  I missed getting showered in puke by about 6 inches!  Then, as I pass him (on the left), he leans right and pukes again.  Props to him for riding through it though!

I saw him twice about the puke incident....I'm guessing he past me in the descent (although I don't remember this) but first I remember seeing him he was walking his bike up the 2 mile climb, and I saw him on the run course...he looked like he was hurting.

Talk about dodging a bullet right there!! Oh the horribleness it would have been to get yaked on. That is a day killer. Also -5 points to you for leaving that out of RR. That is crucial reporting type material.

Happy FRRRIIIDDDDAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!

Who has fun plans for the weekend?

I have a deep cleaning for my apartment, as well as some vigorous laundry doing planned.  Woo freaking hoo, right?

Since we're forcasting rain rain and more rain all weekend I will probably also do a longish trainer ride and longish run indoors.  Might move the run outside if it's just raining with no lightning just to keep me sane.

Happy Friday! The weekend has already begun, it was sooooo nice to sleep till 7am this morning Nothing too crazy this weekend for me, going to watch Terminator with my bro and have a bday party to attend tonight.  Tomorrow hopefully I can find a pool to lay by and drink!

Don't get too crazy while doing that laundry!

I think she can earn those points back by describing to us her training partners reaction to when she pees on the bike during a training ride. No warning the training partner either!

Frickin' Friday Finally!  yeeeee haaaaww!

Weekend plans...  (hoping for a 20 mile bike this evening and a good run tomorrow)
Saturday, my oldest son is doing a tri relay (bike leg), it's a High School thingy... he signed up with two friends and hasn't/didn't give me any details so I don't reallty know all that much about it... kids ~ what else can I say!

Sunday - OWS in the morning, and then I have to make an appearance at a car show for my parents car club... (Dad has a 55 & 59 Oldsmobile show cars) - The club is presenting my parents with an award for their work with the club for the past 10 years and giving them a weekend getaway trip for their 40th Wedding Anniversary... coming up on 6/9/09.

Monday ~ not really sure... no set plans.  I would like to get in a 50+ bike.

I am hoping somewhere in there... I will enjoy a beer or two, but no over indulgence!

I have an OWS for Sunday followed by a group ride. Both will be my first so I am looking forward to that. My neighbor hood pool opens this weekend and the wife and I have managed a kidless weekend, Bow Chika Wow Wow. Can I log that as sports minutes? I will have the garmin on so I can keep my HR below 160.

Also I am building an underwater camera holder for my camera. I need to get some vids of what I am doing wrong and make some corrections. I did a 600 today and it was pretty snailish. So I promise no BT Speedos for you guys and gals to get nauseas at.

YEAH for the long weekend!  Thankfully I'll get out of here at 3 today.  So training plans are run after work.  Bike on Saturday and thanks to Justin an OWS Sunday.

Like Eric said we have minimal plans this weekend.  Just try to relax.

Happy F'n Friday folks!!!!  I've never been so happy to have a rest day AND it's a long weekend.....giddey up!

Weekend weather is supposed to be awesome here.  My apartment could also use a cleaning, and despite having done laundry last weekend the basket is overlfowing again.  How & when did this happen???  Maybe that stuff will get done Monday.

Tomorrow I'm heading to the beach with some friends.  After my long run, of course   I disovered today that my legs are 4 shades of tan.  It's lovely, really.  So, I'm hoping a little beach time might even me out.  And Sunday I have a nice 50-ish mile ride planned.  I really excited for the ride....I love riding outside the city!!  And hopefully I'll finally use my aero bars.

I can tell you possible reactions right now.  Depending on who I'm riding with they'll think
(1) it's totally gross (2) they'll laugh at/with me, won't let me forget this for a long time & proceed to tell other friends (3) they'll think it's awesome.  Oh and btw, group 3 is guys

I would what?  Join you swimming or count bow chica bow wow as sports minutes?

I mean I would do both (provided the chica chica was aerobic...) but just curious which you're refering to here.

So yesterday about halfway thru my ride, my rear tire went completely flat.

Now while I certainly know *how* to change the tire in theory, I have never actually done it to my rear tire in practice.

I can not even put into words how proud I was that not only did I get that baby changed out in 15ish minutes... I didn't break anything and was fully able to finish my ride after that!

Yay!

I'm not as afraid of my bike anymore.  LOL.

Happy Monday.  I love and hate you all, as I am at work and you are not.  If you feel like entertaining me however, I will love you the most.

YAY!  Is everyone back at work today?

How was the long weekend?

I'm already ready for another one.

Buuuutttt I did sign up for a bunch of races, and updated my race calendar this weekend.  We also have an appointment with the mortgage lady this week to get that process finalized!  I feel so grown up.  It's terrifying.
