Should I tell him that they will kick his butt if we don't get some workouts in??? mchally - 2010-04-28 11:18 AM It's been quite a while since I made it to the gym, but today class is being dismissed early to go do some work on our individual off-site projects. I can't do mine today because of some scheduling issues with my 'client' so I will head to the gym to get some serious workouts in before my dentist appointment this afternoon. I'm thinking about 5000 yards in the pool, a bit of time on the treadmill and a core workout...it will make a fairly good impact on reaching my goals this month. The BF has been a bit of a distraction from training. He has been to the gym a lot less lately too. We both have Y memberships so I think that we should make some trips to the gym together. yes you should - tell him the A Team said so No violence here Mel! |

Hehe... it sounds silly, but... when my hubby and I actually get a "date night", our date usually starts off with a trip to the Y for a swim together, etc. I love gym dates! |

Once its over, I will be free to go exercise. At home or office Those are the worst! I'm at home. Conference call is over. I tried really hard to focus on what they were talking about. It was one of those meetings (like most) that don't really make any difference. It was especially hard to stay awake since I only got about 4 hours of sleep. The rain and snow have stopped. The sun was actually shining for a little bit. Very little wind. I'm going to head out and get some exercise. I'll try to check back in later. |

Master 1632 Almost Canada, WA | Subject: RE: The "A" Team Hey All! I just wanted to pop in and play cheerleader as well as give an update! First off, I see we (I say that as if i'm playing still) are slightly behind but I know you all are just saving it so that you can come in at the end and show off what you have...RIGHT?! Next, we are now in the hotel. The movers came on Monday and got our stuff packed and out of the house in record time ~ literally! They showed up at 8 and were done by 1!!! Sam had a rough few nights there (read: about 2 hours sleep...if we were lucky!) but she seems to have settled down and even slept ALL NIGHT last night *sighs with relief* We just kept telling ourselves that she has no clue why her world is totally being turned upside down but thank goodness she is better now. It did make my heart do a slight flip when she asked me yesterday when we were going home ~ how do you explain to a 2 year old that you don't really have a home right now?! I just told her that our new home was in Wa where we will get to see grandpa and she was ok with that (times like this, I love the fact that explaining things to kids can be so simple!) Our flight leaves Saturday night so aside from a few minor appts, we are enjoying the last of this perfect weather!! |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: The "A" Team Good morning A-Team! I got a yoga class in this morning, bringing my up to 100% for that goal. I also got my first swim in of the year! Actually, that's my first swim since my last triathlon in August... Whoops It was a short swim, but it counts because I listed my swim goal as a per-session thing. So that puts me at 50% of that goal. I will get in the other 50% tomorrow morning! I'm a bit behind on my bike goal, but I have a date with my bike trainer and a bunch of DVDs tonight and tomorrow, so if I don't really 100% on that, I'll still get much closer! |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: The "A" Team Good morning all! Got a 6+ mile run in this morning with my boss's boss. Yes... running with the big-wig! She's very fit and typically runs much faster than me... even though I'm a good foot taller than her. We hung together for the first 5 miles and then she said she was going ahead. She left me in the dust! GRRRRR! Regardless, it was a good workout and I'm feeling very good about my first week of the 20-week program. Now it's off to lunch... I will check in later! P.S. Is it Friday yet?!?!?!?!?!?!? |

Hope you get settled in ok. I assume we'll see you back in the challenge in June since you'll be in the middle of the move for the first part of May. |

Is it Friday yet?!?!?!?!?!?!? Don't know what it is about smaller people but they always seem to be fast. Or maybe I'm just slow enough that everyone seems faster then me. I did pass some people in the half mary two weeks ago so I'm not the slowest on the planet. That was a boost to my confidence. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: The "A" Team Well I decided I am leaving early today and maybe just skipping tomorrow and going on an epic bike ride to hit my goal mileage. That would be awesome Bikepacking as our buddy Tim likes to call it I am totally unprepared but who cares - LOL All I need is a tent, sleeping bag, and some money for fuel! Sounds like fun. Be careful. What does your wife think of these spontaneous trips? Edited by pdbman 2010-04-29 11:27 AM |
