Umm yeah in one year I gained over 40 pounds nad my body doesnt seem to want to loose it...

Thats a LOT of extra weight to be carrying around let me tell you (and not something I regularly admit)

Its not good for your mental health either to have that kind of problem going on, on top of all the other stuff I was dealing with. So I did all the right things re: exercise and nutrition and yet I cant loose the weight.

Its horrible! Most days I just make the most of what Ive got but some days (like when I have to dress up for a function and I will be surrounded by beautiful young things wearing gorgeous creations) it really gets to me...

It's really frustrating.  That's how I felt for a long time.  I finally started losing weight this summer, but it was a year and a half after starting medication to fix my metabolism.

tomorrow is a late start day at school...I have an extra 2.5 hours in my morning-I can guarantee that some of that time will be spent sleeping-I will not be getting up at 5am.

Thats what I keep telling myself...  and I dont know how you do it!

I do know I want to do a super duper Mila spin class..

Ha ha... well, get thee to Hotlanta!!!  Is it bad that someone left me an inspire saying I made her feel pukey and I took that as a compliment??

Umm no... thats just how you think...

Hmmm Im pre warning everyone... in the next couple of weeks I will be having a clothing crisis... why you ask?

Well I now have to big events to go to in the first week of December... one an Awards night.. Im thinking party dress from last year..

The other.. the work chrissie party with a 'glamourous cocktail' theme - and since i havent lost the weight Ive been trying to loose I dont fit the dress I wanted to wear. Which means i have to go shopping... I think...

This is a pre warning as the melt down is probably a couple of weeks away!!!

Oh goodie! we get to dress Cat again!

I *heart* the holidays

It's too bad that you are so far away-I know some great places. not that I have many formal dresses-I own 2, but I have some hand me downs from my sister...4 I think. I should try them on again-They might actually fit.

Fits my big issue - I really worked hard since July to loose some of the medication weight but my weight has not budged at all...

Really really frustrating as I REALLY wanted to wear the blue dress

I hate how much medications can mess with your body-I was on a nasty one last year-I gained 20 lbs and had involuntary muscle spasms when I was trying to fall asleep. Shortly after getting off I saw a commercial for the drug-one of the warnings mentioned muscle spasms...and that they could become permanent if the went unchecked. I had been on the med for almost a year and never was told about that-even though I described my symptoms to the doc. He was suppose to be one of the best in the nation. I left him and now see a nurse practitioner.

That really, really sucks.  I was lucky-once I started exercising I was able to take it off.  When I start gaining weight it becomes a downward spiral-I get depressed and when I am depressed I eat lots and lots of ice cream.

I am sorry that coming off the med didn't trigger some weight loss.  But you are fighting it-just keep it up and it is bound to get better at some point.

Maybe I should send my friend down to you.  He likes to tease me(in a nice way) and he really, really liked my pudge-It seemed like he gave it more attention than he gave to the rest of me.  It provided extra motivation for me to get rid of it-I no longer get poked and he no longer talks to my tummy.

Umm I might pass... that would just make be feel weird... I might deck him or something, it wouldnt be pretty

Yeah I might have to suck it up but I dont have a regular GP and going to a doc and saying - I cant loose weight might take a lot of explaining.

I dont want them to say either: exercise more or eat better because I guarantee I may be inconsistent but Im still a lot healthier in both regards than most of the population

Well, I have known him for a really, really long time- we both have gone through a lot and we understand each other surprisingly well.  The friendship outweighs a little tummy poking-although it was really weird when he started to talk to it.  I put my foot down about his conversing with my tummy.

I must say-he has put on a bit of weight lately-I think that it was med related as well.  I will make him do some training with me-we will both benefit from some time away from our hectic lives-and the exercise doesn't hurt either(disregarding being sore now and then).

I'm going to wait until Tuesday and go during stay at home mom hours... hopefully while Exhibit C is in pre-school and I can bring A and B with me since they don't have school.  On the other hand, if I bring Exhibit C they might let me go to the front of the line just to get rid of us... hmmmmmm .
