kns57 - 2008-10-28 10:10 PM Has anyone voted yet? I'm thinking of trying to go and vote early tomorrow, but I hear the lines are really crazy. One polling place had people who got on line Monday and finally cast their vote at 1:15 this morning. I think next Tuesday is going to be totally bezerk!

I find it really rather humorous (in a not so ha ha funny way) that people are waiting in line for 7 hours to vote early.  Ummmmm... does anyone else see something wrong with this picture????

I'm going to wait until Tuesday and go during stay at home mom hours... hopefully while Exhibit C is in pre-school and I can bring A and B with me since they don't have school.  On the other hand, if I bring Exhibit C they might let me go to the front of the line just to get rid of us... hmmmmmm .

I'm just worried my staff will get on line Tuesday and not make it into work. That's why I'm going to try and vote tomorrow.

My voting precinct is pretty small. I can usually get in and out pretty quick.

Yeah, I don't anticipate much of a problem either, but the early voting has been a nightmare... I guess because there were so few places to do it and so many people who thought it was a swell idea and then there were a few technical hiccups... *sigh*

That really, really sucks. I was lucky-once I started exercising I was able to take it off. When I start gaining weight it becomes a downward spiral-I get depressed and when I am depressed I eat lots and lots of ice cream.

I am sorry that coming off the med didn't trigger some weight loss. But you are fighting it-just keep it up and it is bound to get better at some point.

Maybe I should send my friend down to you. He likes to tease me(in a nice way) and he really, really liked my pudge-It seemed like he gave it more attention than he gave to the rest of me. It provided extra motivation for me to get rid of it-I no longer get poked and he no longer talks to my tummy.

Umm I might pass... that would just make be feel weird... I might deck him or something, it wouldnt be pretty

Well, I have known him for a really, really long time- we both have gone through a lot and we understand each other surprisingly well. The friendship outweighs a little tummy poking-although it was really weird when he started to talk to it. I put my foot down about his conversing with my tummy.

I must say-he has put on a bit of weight lately-I think that it was med related as well. I will make him do some training with me-we will both benefit from some time away from our hectic lives-and the exercise doesn't hurt either(disregarding being sore now and then).

Do you need to start talking to his tummy?
That is a good idea-I should give him a dose of his own medicine.

I screwed up-I was too late changing my address and I cannot vote when they don't have my current address on file-I should have gone to vote in the earlier election so I would have realized my mistake back then.  I really need to register for an absentee ballot.

I can't vote early.  You have to qualify for an absentee ballot to do that.

Sorry guys I got booted. My Wireless Card hates me. I am doing very well. I just looked at my monthly totals though and it appears I have had a crappy month.

Don't forget to take into account that your bike wasn't available for a chunk of the month.  But that probably just adds to the crappiness.  It seems that it is time for a dose of caution and common sense.

I am great at dishing out advice not so great at applying it. I know but I planned on doing a ton of running this month and did the October challenge and was going to have my best month ever. Now it is almost over and I am like 2 miles over what I did last month. And way behind on the bike. Not to mention I have only been to the lake to swim once and did not even end up swimming.

I know why I didn't do better but I am still a bit bummed about it.

I want to get a wetsuit so I can swim through the winter. The water here never gets below the upper 60's so I should be able to swim year round?.?

Hmmm... 5:30, I'm at work, about to leave, and my phone rings. Its X2... telling me that one of the children really LOVES carnival rides and I'd never guess who... I say "Meredith" and she says "No, Davis... let him tell you!" (They had spent the evening after school at the Coastal Empire Fair).

"Daddy, I rode all of these rides, even going upside down!"

He is tall enough to ride everything at Disneyland/California Adventure. Unfortunately, Meredith is only 40" tall so she couldn't ride California Screamin', but she could ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. I now have an excuse to tell them to eat their fruits and vegetables "You want to be tall enough to ride everything at Disneyland, don't you?"

Keeping up with the kids at Disney and all the rides is not easy.

In my neck of the woods, the water only gets in the upper sixties and low seventies during the peak of summer.  Unless it is a pond or small lake-but in my area they are generally really nasty.
