amy mutz - 2008-10-13 12:57 PM Hello to all my special group BT'ers... I have missed you all! My goal is to try and touch base now at least 3 times a week. If everyone would help me out a bit, I would like you to tell me what is going on with your life and training. It will save me time looking back over the blogs.... I will start. I completed my race season with a hurricane ike swim at Nashville shores TN, after my wave had been let off they cancelled the swim due to 4' caps and so many people in trouble they didn't hav enough help to fish them out, I am proud to say I didn't know they cancelled the swim and I finished the very challenging swim, that was my biggest accomplishment all season. After being somewhat ill for the past 4 months, I have now turned the corner and I'm starting to feel like the old Amy again, and that my friends is a very good thing, it was getting serious there for a while, and after my doctor said it is either control the stress and save my body or don't plan on racing anything next year because your body won't take it.... I HAVE CHANGED MY PRIORITIES NOW. So that is my story, oh and I'm starting a community fitness group called Women In Training, my first meeting is Wednesday, I'm hoping for a nice turnout. We will make challenging goals in November and meet those by May of 09, I think it is a good thing for my community, wish me luck. wow..I had no idea you have been sick....glad you are feeling better! and way to go with the women in training group...you are perfect for that position...you are going to have to let us know what you are doing and maybe I can have a sister program here in California....

you are another that I need to tell not to work too hard! 19 and 20 hours! dang! those are long hours! take care of yourself! noone else will for you!!!! and as usual your picture is great of you! love the pic of you and Emerson, too!

hello...I surely thought someone would be stopping by to see that I am alive...and kicking...now I am not so sure eveyone else is....well...are you guys alive and kicking? I am baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! and ready to chat...where you be!?

obtw - I went to the city last night and spent the evening with tinkerbell (beth) and we had a blast...will post pictures later....hope someone will be around to see them! have a great weekend....

Congrats on signing up for the IM...my dd signed up for the IM Cozumel in November 2009....along with my IM brother and his daughter...so, it looks like I will be drinking Margaritas and cheering them on! I could not imagine a HM...so you guys who can sign up and even attempt a IM -  ROCK!  Hope things settle for you at work...but you are workiing and that is good in this economy! a whole lot of graduates are not having luck finding jobs...hope that life is good...are you still at home?  and do not burn out....make sure to not over do! Have a great week...glad that someone on out team is alive!

abud7373 - 2008-10-21 2:07 PM It was a regular race. The site just lists them that way. I have done a reverse race, and I have to say that I did not like it. I dislike running the most, so when it is at the end, I am invested in the race. When running was first, all I was thinking was "can I please just stop now?"

I would be more concerned with swimming at the end....you know how much I love to swim! you did a great job....looks like the race was sold out, too! I am definitely going to do all the San Diego Koz races next year....so, you in on them, too!? We can probably find that sandwich shop a little easier next year... I am really wanting more of that yummy bread! mmmmmmmmmm~ take care and if you ever head this way...make sure you let me know! would love to show you round these here parts!

I do appreciate them! this has been a rough past week...it was a year ago november 5th that we lost Dorothy...plus my brothers birthday is on the 11th and it was emotional for him....have a great thanksgiving!

by the way...I am still working out...and have now gotten another pant size smaller.....I am now down 5 pant sizes....WOO HOO! well, that is until Thanksgiving! hehe
