RR is up!

I improved on everything until T2 where I added 10 seconds and the run I added 1:55.  Given my lack of sleep (thanks to my husband, read the blog the dirty minds are going somewhere else)...not bad considering...

Way to go on the race Judi.
PS Nibbs don't have dirty minds. Just cheesecake on the brain. LOL

There was no cheesecake in the remotest thought last night...just a lot of snoring from my husband...a pager that went off twice and a cell phone that rang when he didn't answer the page that he thought was for his on call team--turns out it was from the on call team....  Yeah, the couch might have made for a better nights sleep!

Spent from 9am til 6:30pm with Frank motorcycling (I'm still the passenger) and then did 45 minutes on the bicycle when I got home. I'm whooped. Going to scrounge up some leftovers for dinner.

Sounds like the kind of nights I used to have when Frank was on call with the computers. I don't miss those days.

Kristen smoked me on the bike and run!  She was at least 8 minutes faster in overall time.

Still looking for an update in Jen's blog on NYC...

Great race, Judi!  I liked reading about your bike leg.  Awesome improvement!

Thanks.  Last year was on a hybrid in the remnants of a hurricane--freaking downpour.  Today the weather was hot, but no rain to contend with and I had a much better bike.  I have worked my tail off too improve on the bike, still have a long way to go but I was really happy with that ride.

Hello Nibbs. I just got some very very sad news. A young man was killed in Afganistan (I can't spell) last week. He was a local boy. He was the same age as my son. I heard he had gone to another highschool, so I have to admit that I did not follow the story very closely. I just found out that we knew the young man. He was on a traveling soccer team with my son for several years and his dad had been their soccer coach (I was team mom) for those years. OMG! I feel so bad. The funeral was today and I was out on the damn motorcycle!!!

So sorry to hear that, Kendra. Cat is wise. I'm sure the family would appreciate late condolences. Don't beat yourself up that you didn't know about the funeral.
