kns57 - 2009-01-14 10:00 AM Today was supposed to be a swim day for me. Inbetween meetings I was going to go to the pool. Got out to my car and no swim bag. It is still sitting at home on the kitchen table all packed and ready. Bummer. So I did 3 miles around the park instead. Now to cool down and not look sweaty at my 7pm presentation.

Hiya Kendra - good job squeezing that in anyway... hope you cool down in time!!!

Me too. Got about 50 minutes to go. That should be plenty of time.

How are ya Cat? Morning to you I guess.

Artemis - 2009-01-13 1:50 PM The short version of my doctor's appointment is that I have a combination of problems with my ITB and kneecap that are causing pain. At this point, I don't need surgery, but depending on how I respond, they may need to do something arthroscopically later.

That's decent news right? As in at least you don't have to have surgery right now.

Yep.  It's good news for now.  The only part I am frustrated about is that I don't have a definitive diagnosis.  I would feel a little better if I knew what exactly was going on.

It's always a bummer when you don't know exactly what is going on. Home that what they do helps it.

I just spent an hour (that I should have spent sleeping) digging through my room looking for a pad of worksheets.  I never found them.

This sucks.

Wait a minute. Didn't you get your room all clean just last week? Everything has a place and was put in it?

Sounds a bit like me...on the rare occassion i get my room clean...I cant find anything in it!

Good news on my grandson. He was released from the hospital today. He was off the oxygen yesterday and they actually have gotten him off of the seizure medicine. So he went back home today. I'm sure the other kids were all glad to have him and mommy back home again.

Cortisone shot, more PT (including focusing on my ITB), and prescription anti-inflammatories

Ooops... I got myself into a complete tizz last night trying to find my car keys... when you get home just before 8 and want to be in bed by 9pm its a stressful hour of washing cycle gear (Id run out of clean stuff), hanging it out, shwoering (Id just got back from the pool), eating, preparing food for the next day, packing for the morning etc

Loosing my car keys was like the final straw....

There's a possibility that I might need surgery later if this doesn't work.  We'll see.

Hi Yanti - be supportive but try not to take on his stress...easier said than done I know but it will be SO much better for you if you can do that.

That makes sense.  It's hard to be really happy around someone who is upset and worried about everything.

Very wise. I'm gonna try to get in a run and a swim tonight, but am not gonna freak if it's just a run OR just a swim. Maybe meet with friends later on too, if I can get a ride.
