Hey guys!Woke up this morning with a little bit of a sore throat oh wells...been sucking back water and some Vit C (yaaaa OJ)...and gargling salt water! Hope its better tomorrow! Haha! Great epic ride Neal! One day..one day...haha

Well I got my nap in.  Then I laced up the running shoes with the intentions of heading out for a run.  My legs protested pretty badly just walking down the stairs of my apartment so I decided to bail.

Instead I'm grabbing a beer and firing up the grill.  It's like running, right?

Sounds like an AWESOME plan!

No Ghoulie sightings today?

I spent this morning cleaning up the yard from last nights cook out (in my bikini top and shorts).

Then my son and I went and found a geocache to hide a travel bug. After that we headed to my friends house to meet up, then we went out in the woods and did some hiding for search and rescue training. When we were done I took my son to a nice little ice cream shop my friends showed me. Then we went to find another geocache.

When I got home I crashed on the heat pad on my recliner. My husband just took the kids down to his nephews. They'll be having a campfire and sleeping in tents by a creek on his nephews property. I don't sleep on tents. Actually it's not tents that are the problem. My back does not like it when I sleep on an air mattress. So I now for the next 16ish hours have the HOUSE TO MYSELF!!!

I think I'm going to make a little dinner and watch a movie or two.

Just wanted to pop in before I go eat and probably hit my bed of how today went...It more or less can be summed up as: BAD...just a poor performance. My race report is up if you want to check it out for all the details..Probably the first time I have ever thought about packing it in half way through a race. It was definately a HTFU effort...Started making deals with myself of what would happen if I just finished it.

Anyways. I'm off. TTyl

Can the June biking challenge start today? I just got a 33 mile ride in.

Hey guys...def a bit sore/tired/stiff from yesterdays stand off between me and the weather/temperature/rain/triathlon...haha

Oh well...moving on...Thanks for the support ghoulies! Even with my less than awesome end result, I'm glad that I forced myself on and finished when I was contemplating quitting. Oh mental will...I definately started a Bon Jovi singing in head montage about 2.5km into the run...I was having some "Its my life" and "Living on a prayer" mental playbacks...ya..thats right. I'm cool .

So I think I have figured out why my a$$ has been hurting too...weak gluteus medius...This is a self diagnosis obviously...however, I fairly certain I'm right. So I will be embarking on "Mission Stop A$$ from Hurting" asap. It doesn't really hurt so much now compared to a few weeks ago as just is an annoying random tightness and little zing sometimes. But I would like to prevent it from hurting again in the future.

Hi Ghoulies.  Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.  It is beautiful here.  Bon Jovi was great on Saturday and the new stadium is really impressive.  Yesterday was a lazy day and then a barbeque last night for friends who are moving in a couple weeks.  Nice and relaxing.  

This morning I got up and served myself a spoon of stupid for breakfast.  Threw the bike on the back of the car and went to meet a friend for an easy ride.  Well, about a mile or so into it I hit a small pot hole. Nothing big, but my phone came flying out of the bag.  Yep, forgot to zip it up. Stopped and retrieved the thing off the road, successfully dodging traffic and went to repack.  That's when I noticed the car key wasn't in the bag.  Nope, nada.  So my friend starts slowly backtracking to where I parked and I'm scouring the road and weeds.  Nothing. Just as I'm contemplating having to ride home through some major traffic and bad roads, I felt something on the side of my bike shorts.  These particular shorts have a small pocket on the side, perfect for a gu pack or......you guessed it, a car key. I don't even remember putting it there.  

This afternoon I channeled my *inner Martha* and planted lots of flowers and herb pots.  I did exert some self control and did not bring home any tomato plants.  They're too much work and the squirrels just eat the fruit anyway.  Besides, that's why farmer's markets were invented.  

You need to go find that hot resident from last semester and get his opinion on your gluteus medius!

A second opinion is always a good idea. 

Hey ghoulies! I see there are actually a couple of you around   I hope everyone's having a great weekend. I just had a REALLY good ST workout. There's a great hillside at a nearby park that I used for nefarious purposes.

Agreed. You can't be too careful Melindy. And maybe you could get some extra credit for being a patient!

It's late in the day, but Happy Memorial Day!  I hope everyone took a minute to think about those service men and women that gave their lives so we can enjoy freedoms big and small.
