QueenZipp - 2008-10-28 6:59 PM So, Is it gonna be warm enough for a real run on roads tomorrow morning at the crack o stoopid or do I have to force myself on a dreadmill (what things I'll do for my teammates)

Hmmm...I guess it all depends on what you consider "warm enough."

I'll run until it's below the upper teens and only then when I've been able to ease into it. This sudden dip in temperature is a shock!

Just think - come March/April we'll all be super excited that it's 40 degrees outside.  40 will feel like a heat wave!

it's so funny how that works

Hmmm...I guess it all depends on what you consider "warm enough."

And how much you wear...

It's supposed to be 6 degrees overnight  Sweat pants, long sleeved shirt, lined wind breaker, hat, goves.....I may chance it.

Umm yeah... your six degrees is my... you must be joking...

TYPO!  36 DEGREES

Ugh. Just checked weather.com and I'm in the same boat. I don't know if my lungs will tolerate it. I'm thinking of moving my PT up so I can run in the afternoon when it's at least upper 40s/low 50s. If I must, I'll finish on the dreadmill, too. I always run so much slower on it though.

I avoided driving in Philly proper, parking was bad, drivers were nasty....not that Richmond is a whole lot better. Pretty bad driving here.

3.5 miles left...gonna have to lay out my warm running stuff now and reward myself with something WARM to drink when I'm done. If I didn't have to work it would include alcohol!

Tomorrow is Miss Thing's 13th birthday....I won't be around once I log in my run.

Not much here either. Since I went for my wog at lunch, I'll probably spend the evening reading. I've quickly found myself becoming addicted to my new Amazon Kindle! I'm finally getting around the reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer (figured I should get it knocked out before the movie premieres in 3 weeks). I keep finding myself having a difficult time putting it down at night to actually sleep! LOL

well, it's not all that exciting - LOL!

from my blog - cuz I'm lazy efficient

What a weird, weird day!

  • it snowed (a lot, it looked like a freakn' blizzard at times)
  • E got in a slight accident - slammed into the curb and the rim broke -
  • We lost power at work and everyone was told to leave at 3 pm - I'm thinking, score!!!! I have time to go to the gym (employee issues got in the way of the lunchtime workout)
  • Left work, missed my exit for the gym - not sure how.........
    • ended up in New Jersey
    • had little idea of where I was
    • GPS out of battery
    • pulled over to plug in the GPS - not feeling so great about the area I was in, especially sitting there plugging in a GPS
    • no signal
    • figured out how to get back to PA - oops! there's a toll
    • purse in the trunk (I was headed to the gym and didn't have a lock)
    • pulled over again, got my purse out - only $2 - hope it's enough
    • still no signal
    • still no signal
    • finally a signal
    • paid the toll
    • whew!
  • tick, tick, tick, the clock is ticking - I'm supposed to pick C up from bowling, at this point I'm thinking, there's no way I can workout and still have time to pick C up
  • E calls, bowling was cancelled and he picked him up - again, I'm thinking SCORE! I can go to the gym and to Kohls to get C a jacket
  • turn off the GPS - I know where I am now - HA!
  • turn the GPS back on, get on the road to the gym
  • driving, driving, driving - see the gym, where's the turn, where's the turn...............CARP! drove right past the gym
  • ok - regroup, I'll hit Kohl's first
  • hit Kohl's - it took FOREVER for me to find what I was looking for
  • now I'm crabby and it's late, 5 pm and the gym, crabby, hungry, wet, and cold - well, I stopped at the grocery store and drove home

Not sure. She wants to eat at the mexican place I hae.  There's a better one just down the road that I do like (but they make the birthday person wear a huge sombrero and sing happy birthday in Spanish so she doesn't wanna go there....all the more reason to go if you ask me)
