Well dangit it to heck you took most of my lines...

How about a swift kick I the the family jewels to get your motor reved up.

If it was easy doing it wouldnt be a great accomplishment to do it. You are a machine baby!! One arm in front of the other, one pedel stroke after the other and one foot infront of the other. Next thing you know you will be crusing to a great race and realizing you worried about too much stuff. Shot some snot rockets and let the others worry about the SPATTER!!!

Trin2bfast - 2009-06-02 9:33 AM Congrats! House shopping is way harder than shoe shopping...

Happy Frickin' Tuesday Peeps!

I love me some Tuesdays!!!  I had a great swim today... or at least I felt great during my swim ~ like I could have swam 5000m!  I don't get how I got out of bed this morning on roughly 4 1/2 hours of sleep and had no problems heading to the pool... but yesterday on 7 hours of sleep... I was near death crawling out of the rack!  I don't get it sometimes!

The BSLT chatter about how frickin' hard it is, is starting to mess with my mind... I am trying not to think about how I really have not prepared the way I know I should have (at least for the bike) and it's coming down to crunch time.  It's gonna hurt....   please, someone hold me and tell me it's gonna be alright!      Here Todd, here's my man card!  lmao!   I know, I know... Suck It Up Buttercup!  Before someone else says it... Wanna lil' cheese with that whine!

LMAO!   Y'all are truly Grrrrr-EATE!  That's some funny, motivating, no nonsense, kick A$$ stuff!  Thanks!  I am ready to do this damn thang!  Come on baby, make it hurt sooo good!

I am not gonna kill myself on the course, although I do want to push harder than my last HIM.  I will be smart about it though!  And with all these kick a$$ words ringing in my ears... I will have fun damn it!

Argg. Just found out the Kids tri that my kids were signed up for has been canceled. It was to be on the 4th of July and I guess they had some issues with getting enough roads closed off to be safe.  They are going to be bummed when I tell them.

Yeck....the sick bug is making a stop in NYC   I actually haven't felt great since last Thursday and have felt/been getting sick since Sunday.  I HATE being sick and even more I HATE sitting still....I'm no good at it.  I don't always like to admit that I'm sick and that I might have to {gasp} rest.  I like to think that if I don't aknowledge that I'm sick I can shake it off & sweat it out and I'll be fine.  So I was chalking up this icky feeling to a little GI trouble....but headaches, body aches and fever sort of sealed the deal it was a little more than that.  I'm sure this isn't the case, but I feel slightly paranoid that this is from the nasty water I swam in on Sunday.

Man I hope it's not from the water... there was a thread or an article or something about a Tri with bad water... fecal something another.  Talk about the suckiest of sucky sucks...no bueno!

I hope you get some rest and shake this thing before it settles in for any kind of extended stay.

Todd ~ sucks about the kid's Tri.  I know it may be a haul for ya... but if you can't find any more in your neck of the woods, there is a whole series of them here in Houston.  My son ran one last year, and it was great.  My son may be doing the race again on the 11th.  There is a kid's race on Saturday and Sprint on Sunday (July 11 & 12) in Katy (suburb of Houson)... just a thought.  Here's the link to them just in case... also - I will be volunteering at the Sprint for sure and maybe the kid's race as well (they are put on by my Tri club).

They took it ok. We had been doing some biking and running together so they thought that was fun. Trying to see if I can find  a race for them today this summer.

Kelli, if you're not feeling well I would see a doc.  I'm a big believer in antibiotics if you've been exposed to bacterial funk in the water.

Honestly, I haven't felt quite right for the past 4 days too.  I think it's stress, but I kept getting cold sweats last night and have half a migrane today.  If I'm getting sick I'm going to shank someone.

I hope you snap out of it soon!

Yessss.  This was exactly what I was going to post.

Justin, you are in great shape and you're going to be able to finish the race as long as you keep your head in it on race day.

Do'nt start geeking yourself out this far in advance.  You're not me ya know.

PS, your name sucks for rhyming.  LOL.

You can count on me giving you a ring if I make it to Houston again. If I do make it down it would work better to OWS then Beers. I swim much better sober.

I am SO crabby this morning.

I literally woke up on the wrong side of the bed because my husband was so restless last night that he kept rolling over on freaking top of me and trying to kill me in my sleep.  Half way thru the night I just got out of bed and went and slept on his side.

Jerk.

Somebody please get me some caffine and happy thoughts.

You might not be at this point yet, and maybe I can see it this way bc I wasn't getting rolled over last night, but it is just a little bit funny   Did you wake him up to yell at him?

Don't get me wrong, cuddling is nice and all, but when it's time to sleep you go to your side, I'll stay on my side.  I like my space when I sleep!

Two words.... California King!   Plenty of room!  Now I can't sleep on a Queen or smaller without feeling like we are sleeping in the same sleeping bag!   And yes, there is a time for spoonin', cuddlin', and all that jazz... but when the sleep is on ~ it's a one person sport!

Oh no, it was totally funny.

And yes, I woke him up and yelled at him every time he did it.

The first time he babbled about how the "Cats in the yard are howling again"

and the second time he said, "if you would stop shaving for a minute I would TELLL YOUUUU"

It was interesting.  He has no recollection of any of it.

The funny part is that I am TOTALLY not a cuddler at all.  I don't really like being touched, and can't sleep if I'm being touched.  He is.  It's been a long standing battle in our relationship.  Lol.
