Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #2 Good afternoon Ghoulies. I had a very busy weekend dealing with house issues and honey-do lists, but I was able to sneak in 3 out of my planned 10 miles. Grr. As pennance I went out for a speedy 3.75 miles today and I've got my 5k coming up on Wednesday. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and that your Mondays aren't sucking too bad. Also, welcome back to the boards Jules - we missed you! Later everyone! |

Champion 7546 Santa Cruz, California | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #2 aspeelma - 2009-10-16 4:57 PM Personally, I'm trying to come up with next years schedule and I'm trying to decide how close together I can do an Olympic distance tri and a half marathon. I was thinking of doing any Oly on Aug. 15 and a half marathon on Sept 6th. I'd like to do a full marathon but I don't know if I can do a full right after the Oly. Any thoughts? I have found I love running now, so I have 3 HM's on my schedule, I'd like to do a full marathon sometime in the near future. I thought of the last HM next year being a full, but I'm thinking of doing my full next January in AZ.Did any of that make sense?I see I'm also approaching 200 posts. and look at you now! 208 and going strong!!!! |

Not much food smack been posted lately. I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich and and an apple. Not exciting, but I really like peanut butter. What is in your lunchbox? Roasted almonds, or as I like to call them --> tree bark I had some chocolate milk, as well. Little bits all through the day for me. I'm having steak for dinner tonight, along with baked potatoes and corn on the cob. We'll have extras if there's anyone who doesn't feel like cooking. Did I read that right? Extra steak? And I don't have to cook? Sign me up! still too late to get in on this steak??? Im with Neal...I HEART nice free steak! and I have lots of nice wine to compliment it!!!! so who showed up??? |

Mid-flying dismount at my last tri: great picture! I know I would be nervous if you were in my age group! id be shakin in my boots spd's! so what tri was this taken at? It was at a small local tri in Waterloo, IA 3 weeks ago. Only a little over 100 people showed up. It's a well run race so I hope it grows. Next year they are adding a sprint distance (this was an oly) so that might help the growth. adding a sprint should bring a lot more athletes..and spectators which also makeit more doable! looks like a nice venue! pool or OWS? whats the bike and run course like? |

Stacie, have you ever bought socks from "SockGuy?" I have some cool "Bad Kitty" and "Pirate skull & crossbone" socks. I always feel like a BadA$$ when I wear them. www.sockguy.com They are great cycling socks! I have a couple pair and they last! what's on the side of your socks? (or is that on the top?? im not sure when it comes to socks??) i usually wear smart wool to run/ride in. they keep my feet cool when its hot and hot when its cold. isnt that just MAGICAL?? how do they do that? just the plainjane ones, black. stacieb I am going to try a pair of compression socks...my daughter swears by them! anyone use them? I don't use the socks but I use tights for recovery after a hard workout. I like to think they are helping but it may just be a mental thing. |
