Yeh, but I didn't start logging miles on specific shoes til January, so there are miles from Sept-Dec.  Was trying to figure out how to update the total so that I can keep track of when to retire them.

Weights and a little threshold training on the bike.

Guess we got lucky with our daughter.  We were getting nowhere with pullups so we just threw her in panties.  She peed herself once, we made her clean it up, and she's been pretty much good to go since.  Knock on wood.

I know triathletes aren't huge on "supplements."  As a matter of fact most of the time I get "I supplement my training with more training" if I bring it up.  Thought you may find this interesting though.

Beta Alanine, amino acids, caffeine, and electrolyte supps are really the only performance enhancers I've found for endurance athletes.

Just put an order in and added beta alanine -- figured it was worth a shot.

Oh totally, but try to keep the snack healthy if I do eat all day . . . apple sauce cups, yogurt (Chibani is great), dried fruit, bananas.  However, we all fall off the healthy wagon!!!  Got a snack pack of oreos, but keep those zipped up and out of sight cuz if I see them I eat them!

Actually this dried fruit I have from Sunsweet is blueberries, cherries, cranberries and plums . . . I eat a handful or 2 a day and it is actully like candy.  However, it is about $5/small bag.

jarvy01 - 2011-03-21 3:43 PM I had to stop twice during my run this morning - I was struggling with GI distress & then my potty training 2 year old decided it would be funny to poop on the floor in the middle of the playroom.  EW.  How's that for a workout?!  Surprised

been there done that - that is stop a work out to clean poop off the floor.  Your 2 year old should meet my almost 3 year old who is resisting potty training as if we are making her tear out her own finger nails. she'll hold it until she pees/poops on the floor.

This is why Uncle Bruce will never watch a child until they can handle the potty entirely on their own.

Good Morning!

We're expecting snow this afternoon / tonight (3 inches or so).  Heading out this morning for a long-ish run and then swimming this afternoon.  Its the end of March and the whole week looks crappy weather wise.  I'm really looking forward to some actual spring, I'm tired of the trainer.

I agree Kelly, I finished a book on the trainer and Kindle this morning, (Sarah's Key) (highly reccomended read), and once that was done, I just mentally couldn't go anymore.  Physically, I felt great this  morning.  But this winter has killed me on the trainer with boredom.  I can usually get out in the winter on the mountain bike, but we have had unrideable snow all winter long.  Soooooo looking forward to some nice days.  Looks like that won't even be close to arriving until MAYBE the middle of next week.

My mountain bike TT is next Sunday.  I feel as if I am ready, and so much more advanced than last summer.  It's about 8 miles, short and a very fast course.  Last year's leader in my class was at 36 minutes.  That's insane, becasue the winner in the class above that was 37 minutes.  Hopefully the guy who won my class moves up!!!!!  I hope to do a sub 40.

My little guy is a complete pill with the pottytraining.  I've almost considered putting him back in diapers, but he starts school in September and he has to be trained.  I went in to get him up from a nap and found that he had hidden a poo in his pillowcase and then told me he couldn't remember where he put it.  Saturday he pooped behind my elliptical machine and then wiped it all over the back of the machine.  We've had to go on poo hunts, trying to find where this kid has dropped a deuce (down on my hands and knees trying to locate the origin of the stink).  It's been wrapped up in my curtains, in the hood of my 1 year old's shirt, etc.  My house is almost a health hazard.  LOL

I have a speed workout on the trainer this morning, and then I have swim drills & massage tonight.  It ought to be a really long day.

never done a poo hunt, thank god.  good luck!

happy thursday! a dusting of snow here in lovely new haven.  30 minutges on the drainer this morning, it is amazing how 10 minutes of super hard intervals hits you.  I think its important to go hard every week at least a little, even if it is just some pick ups.  Getting used to that burn and discomfort is so importnant come race day.  now if I could just stay away from chocolate.  Not in court or depositions today,so I plan on hitting the gym later for a nice easy run.

Decided to go riding in the dark today.  I hate riding in the dark.  Good 24ish mile ride, stopped at the gym and lifted, rode home.  It's supposed to be 82 degrees here today.  Sorry CT folks.  Cool

Oh and its 28 here . . . just like 82 only backwards.

Rode an hour this morning, lifting in the afternoon, then massage and another hour on the trainer tonight.  This week is 22 hours, I think I'm going to fall asleep at my desk.

22 hours is amazing!  I'm tired with only 8-10 hours.

Six hours is a big week for me - I maxed out at 10 hours a few times, but not recently.  Adding in biking and swimming should add a little time.  But yeah, 22 hours is nuts.

22 hours is fantastic-its a regular blizzard here at the moment. The storms just keep lining up off the coast and rolling in. I am just happy that none of the sports teams I cover are playing anything today-Time to hit the trainer. I do like Kelly's tern of the "drainer"

I guess I shouldn't complain about the wind...but I will The wind returned today, 20-30mph sustained today and tomorrow. Still had a nice 4 mile run a bit ago, though.

I think we get a break in the wind Saturday and I'm off, so I hope to get in a good long ride if possible.
