Tomorrow is Miss Thing's 13th birthday....I won't be around once I log in my run.

I don't think anyone would fault you for having a little well-earned Irish coffee

edit: Irish coffee toppage!!!

in totally unrelated news, I'm first (at least for this week) in my FFL!

WOOT!! WTG Beth! I'm in a three-way tie (even though I know it's difficult, keep your mind out of the gutter, Phil! Philthy! ) for first place in my FFL, too.

there, fixed that for ya

Thanks!

QueenZipp TYPO!  36 DEGREES

Im thinking thats my single digits.. yeah Im not designed for that kind of weather...

Which is precisely why I live in southern California where it reached 94ºF today (34ºC). Of course, that didn't stop me from getting out for my wog today. I can report that I have completed my mileage for the challenge!!

Go Mel!!!

PS: I  missed your little animated gifs - they make me smile

LazyMarathoner - 2008-10-28 8:56 PM So, what's everyone up to tonight?

eh, not much

I had a very strange day

You mentioned that before. The power outage and all.

I'm doing nothing myself. I actually have a little work to do since I slacked all day.

yeah, plus my little detour into Jersey

although that wasn't really exciting, just unplanned and unfamiliar - lol

I think I missed the detour story! What happened?

well, it's not all that exciting - LOL!

from my blog - cuz I'm lazy efficient

What a weird, weird day!

  • it snowed (a lot, it looked like a freakn' blizzard at times)
  • E got in a slight accident - slammed into the curb and the rim broke -
  • We lost power at work and everyone was told to leave at 3 pm - I'm thinking, score!!!! I have time to go to the gym (employee issues got in the way of the lunchtime workout)
  • Left work, missed my exit for the gym - not sure how.........
    • ended up in New Jersey
    • had little idea of where I was
    • GPS out of battery
    • pulled over to plug in the GPS - not feeling so great about the area I was in, especially sitting there plugging in a GPS
    • no signal
    • figured out how to get back to PA - oops! there's a toll
    • purse in the trunk (I was headed to the gym and didn't have a lock)
    • pulled over again, got my purse out - only $2 - hope it's enough
    • still no signal
    • still no signal
    • finally a signal
    • paid the toll
    • whew!
  • tick, tick, tick, the clock is ticking - I'm supposed to pick C up from bowling, at this point I'm thinking, there's no way I can workout and still have time to pick C up
  • E calls, bowling was cancelled and he picked him up - again, I'm thinking SCORE! I can go to the gym and to Kohls to get C a jacket
  • turn off the GPS - I know where I am now - HA!
  • turn the GPS back on, get on the road to the gym
  • driving, driving, driving - see the gym, where's the turn, where's the turn...............CARP! drove right past the gym
  • ok - regroup, I'll hit Kohl's first
  • hit Kohl's - it took FOREVER for me to find what I was looking for
  • now I'm crabby and it's late, 5 pm and the gym, crabby, hungry, wet, and cold - well, I stopped at the grocery store and drove home
Ouch, quite an adventure in the poor signage of Philly/NJ

Not sure. She wants to eat at the mexican place I hae.  There's a better one just down the road that I do like (but they make the birthday person wear a huge sombrero and sing happy birthday in Spanish so she doesn't wanna go there....all the more reason to go if you ask me)

Becuase 13yo gilrs just LOVE being embarrassed by their parents?

Awwww...thanks, Cat! I missed you guys, too. I did peek in a couple of times from Hawai'i when I logged on to update my blog, but it was just too much to try and keep up as little time as I had. We were constantly on the go doing something or going somewhere. In retrospect, I really should have taken a couple of extra days off after I got back to Cali to recover from my vacation.
