You deserve it for braving the mall two days before Christmas! Yikes! I have given up, I refuse to do any more shopping! Rum on tap for me tonight. And a lot of it! I had to get together with my parents tonight. Dysfunctional is the uderstatement of the year! I need to move thousands of miles away again! Well you know what they say about absence and the heart and all.... I have to agree sometimes! Hope the rum helps!
Yeah, it does. Well maybe not but at least I am back at home, just the 5 of us. How it should be. Maybe it would be different if I had stayed around my family the entire time, but not seeing them for 6 years and them coming back has been rough. Much has changed since then...oh well, it is what it is! Oh, rum and pineapple juice. Equal parts tonight! ETA: Sweet tropical TOPPAGE! Edited by ebshot 2008-12-23 9:56 PM |

Limiter Challenge KOM - 2008-12-23 10:33 PM lastcall2003 - 2008-12-23 7:45 PM We had a Nepali student stay with us several summers ago when he couldn't go home after his college closed for the summer because there was a civil war in Nepal. All is calm now and they are going to visit him and his family. they will just be doing touristy things and maybe some trekking. Nothing at much altitiude though. They should have a blast- they are flying into Katmandu where our friend's family lives. Only downside is I only got to see my daughter for a week. She heads right back to college after she gets back.KOM - 2008-12-23 5:35 PM Evening Vixens- Another car trip day for me. 2 hours each way to visit my Dad. We had a nice visit and lunch. Even ran into one of my bros. I have 4 younger bros and even though they are only 2 hours away I have not seen them in a year or so. Doesn't seem to happen in when I am in town with them. So much for my family holiday spirit! Hoping to get a swim in tonight then I need to wrap gifts. We are opening prezzies tomorrow since my hub & older daughter leave for Nepal at 5 AM Christmas morning (another 3 hours in the car for me driving them to Logan-and I am not a car person generally). It is a very odd Christmas this year. May end up joining our Jewish friends for movies and chinese food. We'll see. Hope everyone is having some fun! glad you had a nice visit with your dad and your bros what are your hub and DD going to Nepal for? Wow, what a great experience! I'm jealous! I have a friend headed to Mexico tomorrow. I miss those days before B and I had kids when we'd travel over the holidays. We plan to pick up that tradition again once the kiddos are a bit older. |

Not at my own will either. I'm searching for a sharp object to end my suffering. Watcha buying me? I can use some compression socks. Just a drive-by to wish you all a wonderful Holiday! Happy Holidays Phil! I knew you wanted the support hose |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Took me two days, but I finally caught up! Let's see what I remember.. 1) WHAT??? Grissom is leaving CSI??? This is what I get for having no TV. WTF??? Now I need to get the DVDs and start catching up. Sheesh. 2) I was buried, that's for sure. I had 350 unread emails in my inbox, and finally decided to do something about that. Took me two days to get through them all, but now my inbox is gloriously All Read. Had another 10 tonight, but polished them off pretty quickly. 3) The CHALLENGE Challenge is up, I'm glad to see some of you there! Should be an interesting month. 4) TinkerBeth, go ahead and adjust your goals in the spreadsheet, whatever makes sense. I'm easy. 5) Nepal? Very cool! many good wishes to everyone traveling. KOM, that sounds like way too much time in the car to me, and I'm about to spend six hours driving to NJ! 6) 7) Kristin, glad to hear you are feeling better. 8) Erica, I like pale ales. I drink almost exclusively micro-brews, and we're lucky to have so many local brews around here. The pale ales aren't as heavy or bitter or hoppy, which is why I like them. When I'm in the right mood, only a Guinness on tap will do. A lot of places now have samplers, where you can get three or four small glasses of different beers on tap to see what you like. Try that so you aren't committed to anything but can see where your tastes run. 9) I LOVE SNOW!!! I'm still logging my food, more or less faithfully. Today was a bust, though. I was already pushing my sat fat levels. Calories were borderline but okay since I snowshoed and shoveled and did my pushups. Then I went out to lunch with my BFF and her coworkers. We were headed to Margarita's but they were closed, so they headed to a little diner. I was nervous about that - diners are NOT known for their health food. BFF ordered for me, since I was about twenty minutes behind everyone else. Yeah, she got me a huge Super Burger with cheese. At least she held the fries. Ugh. But I was so damn hungry I ate the whole thing. I looked at her and thought she was kidding when she told me. Um, hello, grilled chicken? Veggie burger? ANYTHING but fat-laden hunk of cow? |

Erica-you have my permission to drink BEFORE mass- it's an irish tradition passed on from me to you! Shoot, I wish I had seen this before I left! Back from mass. Dinner is done. Night Before Christmas read. Cookies and soda left out. Kids in bed. Of course not asleep but hey, what do I expect, right? Bryan is tracking Santa on NORAD. He's too funny! He keeps updating me where Santa is/has been. I'm getting ready to crack open my red and enjoy the evening. I am feeling a little more festive. Father Joseph gave such a nice homily at mass, it really reminded me why we have Christmas. Sooooo, for one day, I will try to forget all that has happened in the past month or so and try not to think about what battles the future holds. With the help of my red wine, I will succeed!! |
