So we are looking at the Quintana Roo Tequilo.  Anything is an upgrade from the Ironhorse; although, she has treated me kindly.

No saddles suggestions...huh?    Guess that means I have to suck it up buttercup!

Nice!  That's what I ride ~ and I have been teased that it looks like a girls bike!  Blue and White!
But all-in-all, great bike for the pinche dinero!  What about the Chiquilo?  Is pink your thing?

I am not a chick ~ just in case some of y'all were not paying attention ~ BUT, I read great reviews on the Terry Saddle (Butterfly I think) for females and of course the Adamo.  Big Bucks... but if it is kind to the southerly regions ~ then it is worth it!

Smokin' carbon... "I'm sooooo baaakeed"    lol!

My work schedule is getting stepped up a notch for the rest of this month... which doesn't bode well for BSLT.  I am working an extra 6 hours on Tuesday evenings (4p-10p) and an extra 2 hrs, to an already crazy Wednesday (6a-10p)... We have a surplus of overtime and they want us to use it up by the end of June... great for the bank account, but sucks for training.

The good thing (I think it might be good anyways) is that in July & August... and maybe longer... My Tuesday evenings will come back to me and Wednesday evenings will be mine again.  Just in time to get my butt in serious form for November.

Stay on my BUTT for the AM workouts...  (Except Wed's as I will be getting up at 4:30 just to get into work on time)  but the rest of the week.... please don't let me slip ~ and if I do ~ spank that A with copious amounts of verbal abuse!  Carte Blanc Nicole!  lol!

LOL...yeah, yeah.  We have already discussed this.  Carbon just can't handle the beating you give your bike.  So don't be giving him any ideas Justin!

evondo - 2009-06-09 10:04 AM That's what I'm talking about!

5K what kind of carbon crap are you smoking?!?!?!? haha

Trin2bfast - 2009-06-09 9:38 AM Betsy on a new bike!  Way to go Eric ~ first the really nice engagement thingy, now your gettin' the fast chick a new fast bike too.... You da man!

Sugar Daddy!  WTF, how about some sugar momma action?  Daddy needs a nicer bike!

Good luck on the bike shopping ~ Don't skimp... anything under 5K just isn't worth looking at!

Sweet!  Guess that means you like it then!  The new one is black/white/red.  What's the difference between the Tequilo and the Chiquilo (besides being pink)?  I can live with or without the pink color.

Thanks for the tips on the saddle.

Sorry you are going to have to work so much.  You can do it!

The Chiquilo is Women's specific, but I don't really know the differences.  TOTR might be able to give you the low-down on the ho-down.  I don't think BW&F carry the QRoo bikes.  Where are y'all shopping?

TOTR since everyone there already knows us... hopefully they'll hook us up since I'm pretty sure they won't allow my team discount for purchasing a girl's bike

I made a fun purchase today for the good ole P2SL. My old crank bolts seized up to the point where I had to dremel one of them off so figured I needed a new crank before my 1/2 attached one falls off and I go into another ditch!

So pretty.... LINK

Nicole83 - 2009-06-09 9:02 AM It's no fun bike shopping without a sugar daddy in my oponion.

I already know that my birthday present this year is going to be a new tri bike.  Now I just have to wait until freaking october.  Boo.

You need to Sweet talk KFK into a new bike sooner. Tell him you need some summer riding on it.

Eh, I live in FL.  Winter is summer here... we kinda want to get into the house before we spend the entire downpayment on the bike.  LOL.

Ugh, you GOT to work at 6 a.m.?

And I thought my job was demanding.

What does it even smell like at 4 a.m. when you're waking up?

Happy Wednesday all.  I'm in freaking hell over here.  Thank GOD I'm off work on Friday.  I'm actually off all by myself and can't wait.  I need a mental sanity day on the beach.

Anyone got any good book reccomendations?

COFFEE!  followed closely by Sugar-Free Red Bull....

Good books....   Get your focus on with "It's Not About The Bike".... you'll be wanting training for 36 hrs straight after reading that.   Or you can read some naughty novel ~ bow chicka bow bow... and surprise KFK with a lil' something-something!

The first two may not hold all the excitement you're looking for, but they're both really good!

1776 by David McCullough
John Adams by David McCullough

The Lost City of Z by David Grann
The Billionaires Vinegar by Benjamin Wallace

A relaxing day at the beach....sounds nice.

Here is my book recommendation:

Ultramarathon Man:  Confessions of an all night runner by Dean Karnazes

This book will definitely make you want to pound the pavement more often!

So Monday me and the family minus the baby went to 6 flags. I should have taken the Garmin and seen how many miles I walked. Anyway we bring a cooler and head out to the car at lunch and eat. I cant afford to eat there. So we are walking back into the park and at the entrance there are some bathrooms. I was telling the boys to wait here as I went in. Not really paying attention to the door since I have been there many times and know it pretty well.  I open the door and walk in. I knew something was off when I had to ask the lady in line in front of me " Where are the urinals". So I had to make a quick exit as my wife and SIL are laughing their  off since I went in the wrong door.
