Newtons1st - 2009-06-10 9:48 AM So Monday me and the family minus the baby went to 6 flags. I should have taken the Garmin and seen how many miles I walked. Anyway we bring a cooler and head out to the car at lunch and eat. I cant afford to eat there. So we are walking back into the park and at the entrance there are some bathrooms. I was telling the boys to wait here as I went in. Not really paying attention to the door since I have been there many times and know it pretty well.  I open the door and walk in. I knew something was off when I had to ask the lady in line in front of me " Where are the urinals". So I had to make a quick exit as my wife and SIL are laughing their  off since I went in the wrong door.

LMAO!  Bonnie Tyler would be so proud!

Trin2bfast - 2009-06-10 11:07 AM Kelli has successfully sparked my interest with the lost city title... I am going to check that out.  That is off of my normal read list... what a risk taker I am.  Tanks-a-million Kelli.

This not a normal chick book, but since you seem to have an appreciation for history (close enough connection to this I guess)  "Lone Survivor"  by Marcus Lattrell   -   navy seal story from Afghanistan... inspiring and sad but a great read.

Sitting on the book shelf already!!  Thanks.

I'm actually a pretty big reader, although less since I've been training.  And since I don't drive to/from work, or anywhere I go for that matter I usually read while I'm on the subway/bus.  When I'm not training I probably average 2-3 books a month.

Another book you might like is Mop Men by Alan Emmins....essentially about crime scene cleaners.  My book club (yes, I am in a book club and I already know I'm a dork...that's old news) recently read it and loved it!

Thanks for the book reccs!  Justin I forgot you told me about that one earlier, that is definately at the top of the list.

I just want something mindless.

And Todd holy crap that's such a great story!  I too ahve walked into the wrong gender's bathroom... though I think it's a little more traumatizing to be a woman in the men's room as everything is very uh... out in the open.

I could/should make some perv-a-licious comment about you gazing... but I am too tired, must take a nap... in my office chair...zzzzz   OMG - it feels like 46 more hours to go!  Luckily after 2pm I can hit the streets and wake up with a little bad guy chasing...

I've actually read "I was told there'd be cake" and loved it.

I'm embarassed to admit that the most recent books I've read have been the Twilight series.  I think I need to move onto something that won't actually kill my brain cells as I'm reading.

I love the one of Betsy passing the 12 year old boy.  For some reason, that made me giggle.

Shhh...don't tell anyone but I've been doing wedding stuff at work.

Still no bike yet.  Of course they have to make some adjustments.  Change out the aero bars, etc.  The bike mechanic wasn't working yesterday (and I'm not sure if he's there today).  I'm hoping Friday so I can get at least one bike ride in this week!

Beach sounds good, maybe if we're lucky we'll be invited to the house warming party

Oooh....I'd be up for the beach tomorow!  And, it's my rest day so I wouldn't even be missing out on anything   If someone could just have a plane tickets waiting at the airport for me, that's be great...thanks.

I read a pretty depressing statistic today... in NYC it's rained 8 out of the first 10 days of June, and 12 out of the last 16 days in May!

Hey all. The storms here in Dallas has put a damper on my vacation training. I was hioping to get some serious time in but it just didnt happen. House flooding and now the pool this morning was powerless for 16 hours and the pool was so low they had to close it. of course I didnt find out until I got there. Anyways we are heading out of town until Sunday. My 14 yo is bowling in the State tourney all weekend. Hopefully he does like he did last weekend. 235, 245, 202.

Have  good weekend everyone!!  BvD hope you get your bike for the weekend!!!

Happy Friday!!!

I'm not sure if I'm more happy about today being a rest day or that the weekend in just about here!  Maybe the rest day thing bc I don't get to sleep in this weekend.

What's everyone got on tap for the weekend?  I'm doing a 55-60 mile ride tomorrow.  We're meeting at 6am, which is a little less than thrilling, but I'll still have the whole day ahead of me when I get home.  Then hopefully drop the bike off for a much needed & overdue tune up.  Sunday is set to be a 13 mile run and assuming the rain holds off another OWS.
