givemashot - 2010-06-28 11:07 PM I felt fine when i sat down and logged on to the computer. Hmmm.

I'm wired. I could give you some energy...

Hi!  Sorry your project isn't going as well as you had hoped.

Did you figure out what you want to do this weekend yet?

Nope. Another friend is trying to convince me to do something spontaneous by myself...haha...ya, right.

I'm the same way. I rarely do anything by myself, really.  Maybe that's hwy my hubby thinks all I do is socialize all the time, LOL. I am socialising...just in a hard-working kinda way.

Ya. I had made a friend here...a girl in the lab with me. But she was only there for a month and now she is in Tanzania. So I'm basically in the lab alone...mhmmmm...haha.

I sound really pathetic. Wow...(i have no friends, boo hoo hoo)...

kcarroll - 2010-06-28 10:12 PM Had dinner with some friends tonight and they are trying to convince me to do this race.  Must admit, I am tempted although it's awfully close to MCM to be running an obstacle course.  Hmmmmmm.  I like that the last two are the 'warrior roast' (leaping over fire) and the 'muddy mayhem' (slithering thru mud under barbed wire).

I have thought of doing one of these before. They look like they are a lot of fun. It's a 5k obstacle course, you could approach it as just going to finish, don't go all out. I may think about doing it, too. It would be a nice break from all the running.

mndymond - 2010-06-29 12:47 AM In my effort to get out of pity party mode, I have come up with a few possibilities:

1) Go to the beach and read some wholeheartedly trashy novel(s) in the attempt to get rid of my ridiculous tan lines
2) Go rent "True Bloods", which I have heard is a ridiculously, trashy, yet awesome series about horny vampires
3) Go to watch the new twilight movie by myself admist the ridiculous hoard of 13yr old girls, because I don't know any 13yr old girls in Victoria, but it is one of my guilty pleasures (yes, I know Sealed)
4) Go rent Scrubs
5) Go shopping...because we all know I need to spend more money...but maybe I just need to go shopping for fun stuff...like fun stuff that isn't tri stuff...hmm...haha...

hmmm...I wonder what else I can think of...

Note to self: I can not tolerate social isolation for extended periods of time..

(look at all the interesting things I am learning about myself this summer)

I wish I had more notice. I have tons of trashy novels I could have sent you. I have a friend that reads them, then she passes them on to me. I read other stuff, too, so I will never get caught up with all the unread books I have.

There is nothing wrong with going to the movies or to dinner by yourself, I do it all the time. You may meet someone interesting that way.

DAM DAM DAM, the one they had in N Georgia is only 2 hours from me. It would be about 2 hours or less for Kendra, too. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

We could have a Ghoulie get together if they have it in the same area next year..

Not to mention that is where I went about that time for the wine weekend. Mud, Beer, and WINE with Ghoulies!!!!!

Changing the subject, but
I finally finally finally got an appointment with an Endocrinologist. This is HUGE news. I have a ton of the symptoms of hypothyroidism however, when you are a female of a certain age, what you get is that the problem is your age. I have been saying BS to that for a while but could not get into the Endo without a referral from the Doc that will not refer. I found one that will take me on....

Now, let's just hope that they can figure out why I am a human sloth.
