mr2tony - 2007-09-25 2:07 PM Why does the first 12 minutes of the 1995 version of `Dawn of the Dead' freak me out so much?

I'm having trouble visualizing how the movie starts

Never saw that movie, I was 12 when it was released so I'm sure I wouldn't have been allowed to watch it.

Should I get it?

I'm a big zombie move fan so I like it. It's the only thing that really freaks me out anymore.

2goggles, you said you're on the wagon for a marathon. Will this be your first marathon?

It will be indeed. IF I run it, that is.

Yeah but after 6.5 years of marriage that wouldn't freak me out too much.

That's awesome, you should go for it.

It's impressive that you guys run them. 5K is a long run for me

Yeah the most I've run so far is about 15. I did the half two weeks ago but that's only half. I figure I could probably do it but I'd have to run it in about four hours or risk injury.

Do it! My longest run so far is 16 miles... I was going to do 18 or 20 a week ago but wasn't quite back from the HIM yet. So it's going to be an interesting first mary for me, too.

How fast did you run your half?
What is your longest run to date?
For me, the first mary is about finishing (unless you are Scout and it is about BQ).

I ran it in 1:47:00.
Longest run was about 15 miles.
I'm all about finishing ... in less than 3:40.

EDIT: And while that might not make sense, it actually does. I sandbagged the half. Not on purpose. Started too slow.

Oct. 6.

Unless there's another Chicago marathon, it's the 7th.

Well, from what I remember when my family visited some wineries when I was very young, some of them have some d@mn good grape juice.

Where's Scout?

What?  "Could he run the marathon?" is the question, right?

He probably could.  And he could probably do it without injury.  He'll be hurting afterwards.  Just make sure you don't "race too hard".

His choice about whether to run it or not.  My opinion....  I would prefer to be better prepared, but I'm fairly certain he could finish.

Someone was in the office bathroom, so I went to use the shop bathroom. One of the shop guys and I are always pulling pranks on each other, and he saw me go in there... so I knew something was coming. I went in, and didn't lock the door on purpose. I stood there with the plunger and just waited. Sure enough, he came blasting through the door yelling "don't plss on yourself!!!" Well, I stuck that plunger right on his face. He FLIPPED out yelling and spitting. Think about it, a shop bathroom plunger......... ugh.

Oh when will they ever learn

I just laughed out loud... while on a conference call.
