Sure, the SEALs killed Bin Laden, but without guns, it would've been WAY more difficult and, dare I say, downright impossible? It would have been difficult for OBL to kill thousands of Americans if it wasn't for airplanes, box cutters, and small plane training.....so....do we ban those as well. The fact of the matter is that a libtard named Costas took it upon himself to take a stance against the Constituion.....a Constitution that my father and countless other Vets (including you and your family) protected. Everyone is entitled to their opinions....which is afforded by the same constitution. But don't use one amendment to take a dump on another. Didn't Tony's grandparents fight against the constitution? HA! Actually my mom was in Japan learning to kill Americans when they attacked the mainland during WWII and my father was an American WWII pilot preparing to bomb my mother back to the dark ages. Let the jokes commence. |

He would probably be shocked at what a "semi-auto" weapon is from the AR-15 to the 5 round box mag hunting rifles. My guess is he is just parrotting typicla uber-liberal gun control rhetoric without even understanding what he's talking about. Or....he does know the difference and he's just a radical. Again, I wonder if he would be OK with someone saying: "Hey I'm ok with the right of free speech, but I draw the line on political bloggers or self publishing" So speed loaders are OK with revolvers then... because we all know it takes like 5 minutes to load those. That's what irritates me so much when we talk gun control... because it is things about the gun that make it so dangerous... auto loading, muzzle brakes, the color black... because we all know a bolt action 30-06 is completely harmless. I hear it all the time, and it was even said in this thread... "what are you so afraid of to want to be armed"..... what I have never understood is the irrational fear of an intimate object. Do you walk around all day fearing you are going to be mowed down on a college campus or movie theater? Edited by powerman 2012-12-05 10:14 AM |

Do you walk around all day you are going to be mowed down on a college campus of movie theater? Interestingly, I can see the UT clock tower from my desk... Whitman didn't have a semi-auto. I don't fear guns, but I do respect the power that comes-out of the working end. I exercise muzzle awareness with the pointy-end of my umbrella just so I don't get out of the habit of knowing what direction to point the muzzle.

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Were gays really threatend by Chick-Fil-A? Nope.....but that was a chit storm and a half. Now....you have a guy advocating that semi-autos and/or guns should be banned. And, while that is his opinion....it's against the Constituion. Have you read the Federalist Papers? You know...the ones written by James Madison....the Father of the Consitution? His thoughts on tyranny. Federalist Paper #45 or 46 (not sure....don't want to google...). Interesting reads. I'm not being hypocritical about free speech. It's a great thing to have. My point was that he used 1A to trash 2A. |

I'm not being hypocritical about free speech. It's a great thing to have. My point was that he used 1A to trash 2A. And that's the thing with 1A... someone can open their mouth.. and we can agree or disagree. And we can use the same 1A to call him an idiot for his thinking. It's all good. The difference with guns is that any time their is a high profile shooting, everyone loves to get on their soap box and use it to further agenda of RESTRICTING other rights.... not prosecuting the criminal, not doing more to stop domestic violence, or kids growing up in gangs... but to FURTHER restrict law abiding citizens rights to bear arms... law abiding citizens that contributed in no way the the shooting. They want to use the situation to ban high cap magazines and apparently Costa has a problem with auto loaders... But the murderer shot his girlfriend what 6-7 times... thats a six shooter... he could have reloaded and shot her another 6 times for good measure if he was that upset... but all that is completely irrelevant.... because we need strict new laws and reopen the ban on "assault rifles". MURDER is ALREADY against the law! Edited by powerman 2012-12-05 10:31 AM |

![]() | ![]() So, Bob Costas at least has the cojones to go on O'Reilly and defend his statements. But it does crack me up how liberals love to bring up "Body Armor" when someone mentions Aurora Colorado. The guy was wearing a vest, not Batman armor or something. Bullets go through most vests unless you have some serious distance between shooter and victim. He's still "a idiot". |
