Threw down another 78 mintues this am on my trainer- as I said in my logs, soon the trainer will become one with my body like that lady in Kansas with her toilet seat- if this weather doesn't shape up! (it was 9 below this morning, snow forecast through the weekend......)

Let's have a strong finish to the week- and catch the Peeps Army!

great job that a long time on a trainer, time moves so slow on those things 78 minutes is awesome! It is finally in the 50's here in Indiana so maybe it's heading your way.

Yes- it does get a little time warpish- I usually make sure I have a movie or something- but when you look down and only two minutes have passed since the last time you checked the clock, you think 'WTF????????????????????? I thought it had been at least 15?????"

Another 1 hour today, hopefully the thunder boom booms hold off long enough on Saturday to get a 25 mile ride in.

Since we are sharing, this is my new ride I got for Christmas, wasn't sure if I was ready for a tri bike, I have only been doing the sprints...  This was the multi sport specialized put out; made for racing but in road bike form. (They are not making it anymore, I got it on closeout!)   I like him.  No name yet, not sure if he will get one.

I rode him for 75 minutes last night on the trainer, I did spinnervals 22.0, I think the time goes by fast because (yes I know I am weird) I feel like I am part of the class on TV! Not that I compete against them or anything.....

rpm1418 - 2008-03-13 1:08 AM That's a beauty, I've never been one to name my bikes, so I'm not sure what to call her isn't KHS a mountain somewhere I don't know just guessing? Maybe Ella for elevation. You must be very excited. Here is what I ride, what do some of the other team members ride? Ron

You owe me a new Keyboard! That is one sweet Azz bike...One of the best paint schemes and wheel set I've seen on BT.

OK...been detained for a couple days, but our concert was tonight (went very well), so back to the trainer (or MAYBE OUTSIDE) if the rain holds off.  67 degrees predicted for Tuesday!

When I last checked (around 7) - we were leading the pack by 2% over Peeps Army- LET'S GET A BIGGER LEAD. Everyone push a solid effort so we can widen that distance between 1st and 2nd and lead strong going into week 3.

WHO's with me????? Pedal, Pedal, Pedal!

PS I'm a big girl now- finally bit the bullet and just got clipless Look pedals and Sidi shoes- no more running shoes on the bike for me ( well, once I bring the bike in to have it all hooked up on Saturday afternoon) This damn sport is not cheap, huh? Thank God I love to shop!

Congrats on the pedals, you will really be able to pull more on your upstroke and engage more muscles, they will just take a little getting use to getting on and off the bike. In this sport there always seems like there is something I need, I think I'm done buying and the next thing you know I need new tires or some type of tool, shoes, swim aid, it just never ends.
My next ride is this weekend hope to get another 20+ miles.

Hey, I just got my first clipless pedals a month ago. Weird to be using them, after 30 years of toe clips.

that's exactly what i said after buying new pedals, shoes, etc. and today i want to go buy a new  bike computer :-)

good luck with the pedals-- i was shocked at how much easier it is to go uphill with them!

i'm off to a spinning class this a.m. and then another ride this afternoon if i get this slow leak on my tire fixed, so my mileage will get back up there and here's to a 1st place week 2??!

Hey guys,

I had good intentions of getting more rides in this week, but came down with nasty cold or the flu yesterday (actually, it started Wednesday but REALLY hit bad yesterday).  Hope to be feeling better and back on the bike asap.  Sorry!

I hope you feel better, rest is probably best, I had the flu about a month ago and it took me out for 3 weeks. We need you so we can stay on top so get well soon, getting sick sucks.

Knock Knock! What is everyone doing this weekend??? Hopefully I am getting on my bike today.  I also have a babysitter this afternoon so my hubby and I can get a couples massage!!! It was a Christmas gift from one of his clients, pretty cool gift, uh! He also paid for the babysitter...

Looking great team!

I got my 25 miles in this afternoon. I was afraid that I wasn't going to get it in, because I didn't get back from my daughter's swim meet until 4:30.

Up to 50% for the month!

I got 16 miles in on the trainer last night as I watched The Flying Scotsman.  Need to watch it again when not spinning so I can hear it this time!  Interesting movie if you haven't seen it.
