Im soooo lazy... I still havent got my voice back and my wrist is on ice so I think its going to be another lazy day! Yesterday I picked up two choc bunnies so I guess I will break into my one at some point! Cat, are hot cross buns an Easter tradition in Oz? Good Friday - yeah - you have them for breakfast in the morning Got it...and the symbolism too... I always assumed it was a global thing.... because Im 100% sure its got European roots... Then again Im amazed its not a public holiday in the US as well... back home in NZ all advertising is banned on Good Friday too! Here... just the shops are all shut.... like on christmas... I think it just depends on where in the US you are. I NEVER went to school on Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras, or Good Friday. And the banks and most all businesses were closed on Mardi Gras and Good Friday (except the groceries) Then I moved to UTAH, gosh what a culture shock. My instructors thought I was crazy when I didn't show up for classes on Good Friday. And still, I try to take off of work on Good Friday. Matters fact, my mom fussed at me for sewing this past Good Friday. (34 yrs old and my mom still fusses at me????) hehe well thats mothers!!! I cant say Im overly religious but the 4 day weekend for easter was ALWAYS a thing! (maybe thats the catholic primary school talking!) Guess I lucked out growing up in the south... we also got 4.5 day weekend for Mardi Gras (yep, we went to school late on Ash Wednesday - guess the school district figured the parents were still too hung over from Fat Tues to get the kids to school on time ) |

Hopefully Cat still is because I don't think I could do it by myself. Of course I will help... do we have a sport or a theme yet? Im not 100% sure if I will partake depending on what the sport is but I will definatley give you a headstart wit hthe set up! Not sure about sport. I was kind of thinking swimming to motivate myself to get in the pool, but I'm pretty flexible on that. We did debate the cupcake theme for awhile. |

or there's always the option of having people pick one sport and then combining the teams accordingly
