I went about 28 miles...around Mercer Island twice! I planned on going once, but it felt so easy that I left my fiancee and did it again. WOW! That must have been SOME ride in order for you to leave your fiancee!! |

LOL The key for me was getting the crotch of the wetsuit up as far as possible. You may have to pull up more on the legs. Also keep working the wetsuit up your torso so that you have more play up by your shoulders. Here, I'll let a pro explain it... thanks sal, that video actually helped a lot. there was another one on there once i got on, of i don't know like T1 voulenteers--did you see it? i WISH!! they come running up out of the water, yank their arms out and sit down, then T1 helper line people yank the legs off!!! geez!! that would pull a good 3 minutes off my T1 time!!! nice. i might have to catch a quick swim this morning now, to try it out-the putting on thing, not the pulling off thing. LOL |

Master 2339 somewhere over the rainbow | Subject: RE: August Challenge (Run,Swim,Bike, Weightloss, and/or Other) - CASUAL YAY LYNNE!!! no more stictches!!! HOORAY!!! i'm so glad! now get your butt out there and swim/bike/run!!! rach--that's pretty much what i was riding until VERY recently too, so i can totally sympathize with the poor guy. AND last but not least, i tried putting on my wetsuit like that video suggested (thank you again sal) and it was A LOT better. i swam-i'm still a rotten swimmer, but at least i'm not choking on my wetsuit anymore LOL. i was thinking about what 700 yards might look like, and i got pretty wigged out, but whatever, i'll survive, then i'll kick a$$ at the bike and run LMAO!! |

YOU ARE NOT ALONE out there. Once you see the set up, the angels, the lifeguards you'll be like...ahhhh. I feel ok You are going to do SO well. I just know it. |

WEAR SUNSCREEN!!!! Went to the doctor today - no biggie but I thought it was going to be because he kept coming back to this spot on my arm! I've got a follow-up with dermatology but he says it looks like it is NOT cancerous. Now, let's get busy with this challenge! |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: August Challenge (Run,Swim,Bike, Weightloss, and/or Other) - CASUAL I missed my bike ride home from work since it was pouring and lightning (which is what I was really concerned about). I will get another run in tomorrow since I decided to run my Physical Fitness Test (PFT). I am not sure how I will do, but I figure I might as well get it knocked out of the way. I really need to step it up in all areas though, I am really slipping from my goal schedule. Oh well, it's all for fun anyways, the health aspect is a bonus. |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: August Challenge (Run,Swim,Bike, Weightloss, and/or Other) - CASUAL The Commandant of the Marine Corps was at my unit today. It was interesting to hear him speak since he is for all intents and purposes the CEO of the Marine Coprs. He has very strong views and a stronger personality. He actually chewed out the base commander for the things he was doing to the Marines on the base. Needless to say the Air Force Base Commander is not happy with any Marine right now. Wish I could have seen it happen. |
