I'm glad I am not the only one having Ironman dreams already.  I had a dream that got on the road to drive down there for race day and about an hour into the ride, I realize I have no bike.  Drive home and leave again and in the process, somehow miss race day.  Isn't it a little too early for these dreams?!?

I dreamt that I just entered the water in time, and right in front of me was Birkie, with algae hanging from his 'stache.

I figure I'll start a 16 week plan in late April.

Moo will be my first IM, I'm doing my first HIM in May.  Did my first Marathon yesterday.   Hard time getting off the couch today....and 'run' is my newest four-letter word!

Congrats on the 1st marathon! I have my first March 21st. I figure I'll take the week after that a little easy and then have 24 weeks to concentrate on IMMoo with a couple Sprints and Oly's sprinkled in along the way to keep things fun.

So until last week, when I tried the swim distance for the first time all the ironman nightmares were about the swim.

Last night...I finished the swim and started the run.  I was so happy when I realized I was almost done the run and it was only early in the afternoon, then it dawned on me...I had accidentally skipped the bike portion.  So I finished the run and got my bike, but there was a big arguement about doing it in order and I think I got DQ'ed.

Just ran close to 17 miles in some miserable, cold rain yesterday.  And THEN it snowed after I called it quits.  It would have been a heckuva lot better in the snow.  STOOPID 'sconnie weather.

I got out on my bike today. A nice 45 degree sunny day. Only went 10 miles but it felt great! Can't wait for warmer weather.

I'm jealous! I did 50 miles on the trainer yesterday. I'm building up mental toughness for sure.

I did 42 miles on the trainer yesterday, but did 40 minutes outside today.  Plus a 10 mile run today.  Great weather here in WI today, mid 50's and sunny.

Anybody planning on hitting the bike course memorial day weekend?  The mrs is doing the madison half mary on sunday but thinking of sneaking in a bike on sat, either verona loop or from the start, one loop around verona and back.  hoping to get there before as well, but just throwing this out since its a travel weekend and folks have extra time in theory.

This sounds like it may be doable.  Like the idea of starting from town, doing a loop and coming back.  Nice 72 miles or so for an early season ride.

32 miles on the bike - into the wind, but SUNNY! on Weds.  1,25 hours in the pool and then a 6 mile run with my 13 year old training partner Thursday.   In prep for IM Moo. we're doing Wildflower HIM in 5 weeks- and he's doing the relay (run) with his dad and brother.  Truly a family event!
