Last week 157.6
This week 157.8

I am getting worried here, is it that my plateau is not over after all. Sigh! I just want to get into the lower 50s and get over this plateau that I have been in for so long. My body is shrinking which should mean something, but I am having issues anyway. To my heart and lungs, regardless of whether I am trimming up or not...when I am running up that hill or biking up that hill, its STILL 158 pounds that I am hauling up that hill, slimer looking or not.

Sorry to be the depressing one, but with more training, I have become all too aware of my body and I feel like I am being held back because of my weight. I have asthma and a pound or two makes a HUGE difference on how fast/far I can run/bike and it REALLY affects my day to day breathing. Ten pounds would make a HUGE difference and its just been so hard to get there. Maybe next week I will do better.

last couple of weeks i've been weighing on sunday mornings instead of wednesday evenings.  When i started was 290. I am now 283 after 3 weeks. My ultimate target is thus goign to be 180 with a target deadline of christmas day. Is that reasonable?

edit

i realised you meant monthly target.

just oer 2 weeks left this month so i'm going for 278 by the weigh in 2 weeks time (is that ok?)

Hi Stevey, I'm with Saling here- it's sounds like an awful lot but then again I know where you're coming from - I'm like that too: on fire and wanting things to happen NOW. Well, being in Team Skinny for a year now (my little anniversary) and in training for tri for the same amount of time (with small breaks) I learnt that the best attitude to weight loss and improving your fitness is to RELAX. There are weeks that you do everything the way you should- you train, you eat properly- and the scales still says NOPE, NOT GONNA MOVE. Please don't think I'm trying to discourage you - I simply learnt that baby steps work best and most of all you need to enjoy the journey.

I have my weight loss barrier at around 70kg- it's like up until then my body is relatively ok with shedding kilos but once we get there it stops for a while and once I start losing again every half a kilo is a big effort. I'm not a training specialist but maybe you should think about introducing some changes to your workout routine?

Howdy Team!!!

How has everyone been doing? As of right now I have been maintaining the weight that I lost before my surgery, so I am totally happy about that.

I am out of the sling and the physical therapist told me that I could start biking now, but no running and deffenetly no swiming. So I will start moderatly training just as soon as I can find me a cheap bike to start riding. In the mean time will keep up my strength train with my therabands that my therapist has given me.

It is good to be back and can't wait to start catching up with all of y'all!

Peace,

Hi all my weight yesterday was 194.2

That would be down .4 from last week...and then I went to a special dinner last night and gained 3 lbs...but never fear I biked this morning and I am running this afternoon and that 3 lbs will definately be gone by next week!

Thats what I have decided to do, this week I am incorporating interval training into my swimming and running. I am hoping the weather cooperates so I can actually go biking instead of relying on spinning. I WILL get over this hump!!!!!

Been really busy, haven't had time to weigh-in... So I figure, I'd better get it done before I head out for the evening (Mom and I have a date with a movie theater). We're going to go see Watchmen. I hear it's really good. And based on how I've been eating lately, no popcorn for me! Anywho, weight (on Wed) was 190.4. Probably a few lbs heavier since I wasn't eating very much when I took the measurement, and I've binged a few times since then... Mostle ribs, pizza, been drinking soda like it's going out of style. But I have been drinking tons of water too, so that's kind of weird, not a total loss. Just need to realize that I have to get back to normalcy before it's too late! Congrats to all that have lost, and welcome to any new comers.

Movie nights have a total exemption from any kind of diet So how was Watchmen? I wanted to see it this weekend but sombody here told me it wasn't very good.

I know that has very little to do with dieting but I also made a trip to the movies last night to see "Marely and Me". I read a book a while ago and I remember that I was laughing so much that I was crying and that I was crying at the end of it but last night I made a holly show of myself. It was not more than 2 minutes into the movie and I was already crying. Seriously, when they were getting Marley I had to bite my hand not to make crying noises and really thought my head is gonna explode - they showed like 10 puppies there! The movie is about 2 hours long, maybe a wee bit less, and of all that I think I was behaving like an adult person for about 30 minutes. I was nearly glad that I'm still sick because I had a ridiculous amount of tissues with me. Anyways, I looked really "charming" after the movie was over- tomato red and swollen eyes, red and swollen nose. First I was told that I wasn't allowed to watch this movie unsupervised but as I was still sobbing on the way home I got a complete ban - no more Marley and Me for me.

Oh, I know how it is connected to dieting- I had a small chocolate bar afterwards because I wouldn't calm down.

Josh - I'm guessing Watchmen didn't evoke such emotions in you

Having a bit of a worry today. Hopefully its nothing

According to my scales i've lost 30 pounds in the last 3 days (since the weigh in). I've been using Wii Fit to do my weighing as my housemate has it , and it also tracks it much better than i could. I'm gonna go into town buy a proper set of scales instead see if its nothing. I dont get it , i had a really bad day in terms of eating, i ate quite a few snacks and then decided i should go gym before my dinner because of the snacks then ate my dinner. (Sandwhich and a mango)

edit

ps i have tried changing the batteries in the balance board.

Well Stevey if you lost 30 lbs in 3 days I would be a bit worried as well.  Which limbs did you lose?  Did you pick the right WII person?  I have a suspicion that the weight will appear again.

I was pretty disappointed with the movie version -- they skipped the airport scene! That was the funniest in the book, and I was looking forward to it so much. And they really rushed the whole getting-kicked-out-of-obedience-school thing.

I weighed 191 at the gym's scale this morning. (I've never been below 190.)

But I've never weighed myself on that scale before, so I am unsure how it compares with other scales I've used.

And all my clothes are getting so big ... some of them are embarrassingly big. And I find myself staring at them, thinking, "when did this get so big? did it stretch out?"

It's almost surreal.

So I'm really happy. My swimming is really coming along, my plantar fasciitis is clearing up (with a lot of work), and I need to go to some consignment shops to try to pick up some pants.

I was wrong when I said I cried 2 mintues into the movie - I was told I cried at the opening credits of Marley and Me. Yup, I won't be going to this cinema for a while.

I am off to go buy a Wii right this minute.  If I can lose thirty pounds in three days by using a Wii, I am sold.

Yeah, I read the later posts that said the weight reappeared.  But maybe I could keep it off.  Maybe.

Seriously, on my home scale (which I don't use here on Team Skinny, only the Weight Watchers official weight) I weighed 149.5.  Did you see that "4" in the middle there?  Right after the "1"?  I haven't seen a 4 in a long time.  I've got my fingers crossed that it will still be there on Wednesday at WW.
