I am going to run this week, so keep me honest  As for muscle recovery, I think the best thing is to get in 4:1 carbs to Protein and you will be fine. If you look, you will see that combo in a lot of things... peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chocolate milk, etc. I used to use Endurox R4, but have recently switched to Jay Robb's protein because the strawberry flavor tastes like Strawberry Quick. For the beginning of my training I shied away from the recovery drinks because I didn't want the extra calories, but used it near the end of my training during the heavy load weeks. |
