Good morning Ghoulies!

It's been a couple of late nights for me. Friday night I stayed up until a little after 11:00, that's when my son and his friend came up from the basement and said they were heading to bed. I'm really glad they didn't take me up on their pass to stay up until midnight. My daughter got me up at 6:00 yesterday morning. Ugh.

Last night we had a game night, the kids play like maniacs in the basement, and the adults play cards or whatever upstairs. We had people here until 10:30 last night. I'm tired. today.

It's raining. I'm tired. I'm not sure if I'll get anything done today other than working on the taxes. Maybe a little bit of yoga.

I am going to get my bag packed so I can grab it and go to the gym tomorrow morning before work. I know tomorrow is only day 1, so I don't have high expectations.

Ok, this was just a quick drive-by. Off to Sports Authority to pick up some KT tape for the knees. Then the grocery store to grab a couple things I forgot yesterday. Grrrr. Trainer ride at some point today.

Oh, and I'm in the middle of an epic game of Words with Friends with my BFF's 15 year old daughter. She is trouncing me. Badly. I'm pretty sure she's cheating.

I have games going on with my sister and a friend of mine. I used to kick my sister's butt, then I told her my strategy, now she's kicking mine.

ceilidh - 2011-03-05 11:19 AM My Friend's son is losing his battle. His parents have decided that Andrew is to weak too go on life support again so they have decided to let him pass. They are being unselfish and dont wont their baby boy to suffer anymore.

oh.oh.oh.ROBIN.i am so so sorry for your friends.

though the circumstances are different it was complete agony to watch my brother and sister law make the same decision for my nephew.  theres nothing in this entire universe as difficult as that, and YET it is by the most loving unselfish decision parents can make for their children.

know that i will be mindful of them and their son as he makes this passage especially that it would be a peaceful one for him.

My thoughts go out to them

Mine, too.

This is a HI and a see ya later all in one. Got my run in. Not as long as I wanted but at least it was something. I gotta get outside to run!

Off to the showers.

FWIW, I am with you on your FB comment. You both (hubbie and you) have a difficult row to hoe. He doesn't get free pass just because he is the one traveling.

OMG, thank you. I was hoping I wasn't over-reacting. There's some history there with my MIL back when hubby and I were dating, and it took years to get to a comfortable point. I so want to tell her to shove a sock in it. I hope I did that nicely enough today that it won't cause problems for years to come.  My feeling on FB is that it's my right to vent, to be supported. Hubby knows what I said, he's fine with it. She needs to find somewhere else to vent her stress from dealing with her own husband being less healthy than he has been. Grrrrr. The whole momma bear thing gets realllly old after 15 plus years. *end rant*

I thought I'd better quit lurking and say something, LOL.
The insurance adjuster never showed up Thursday. Apparently he went on emergency leave, and they had to bring another adjuster in from out of state. He also didn't have us writen on his calendar, and had little to no notes for the new adjuster to go off of. I chatted with her for a while yesterday on the phone, and she's coming by tomorrow morning, and that's confirmed.

I am strongly considering taking that back. But I don't want to start a feud. And she's passive aggressive enough that it would be in the back of her mind and influence every interaction we have, and would color her interpretation of everything I do or say for the next 20 years.

So, after posting back to the MIL, I decided to remove that whole thread from my page. I said what I had to say, in a very nice way, IMO. Then I removed the whole post about 10 minutes later. LOL.

Ok, I saw Amy's post, but didn't see the replies.

Amy, I could take her, you've got my number if you need me.

There are several people I have ignored friend requests for because like you FB is my place to speak my mind, THE VILLAGE is, too.   Anyway, people who I thought would be negative, or I knew didn't get me and would reply with unnecessary comments have not been friended. My sister, an aunt, and I had a comment about who we would friend awhile ago. I would not friend my own mother on FB, or most of my relatives for that matter, because they don't get me. That's their problem.

I have a secret for you. You don't answer to her, and you certainly don't have to explain yourself to her. Age and treachery will overcome youth and skill anyday. Don't sink to her level. Post what you want. Say what you feel. And if she continues to be confrontational, then boot her azz. K. Love ya! MWAH!

I haven't friended my parents either, and they're both on FB. Not because we don't get along, but I just don't see the need. It would cause me to have to filter, which I don't want to do. I call them every week, so they know what's going on in my life. That said, I don't really do that much on FB.

I thought you were more than nice about it. Certainly more diplomatic than I might have been. That said, it's always good to have the option to delete. Sometimes I wish I could delete other parts of my life that easily.

Yeah, wish I could delete some of the pasta I just ate. Portion control button wasn't working. Well, technically there is a way to delete but would rather not go that route. There are some people I wouldn't mind deleting. Again, technically a way but it would probably result in prison and I'm not good with small spaces.

Uh... yeah... none of those seem like viable options. Prison would really cut down on your posting here in THE VILLAGE, and who would care for the fur people?

Good point re the fur people. They're rather picky. I would have more time to post in prison, but I don't know if I'd get BT access. Which raises a question. If prisoners do get internet access, and I believe they do, how many prisoners are on BT? Who do you think they are?
