Just another day here. Except it is rainy so it makes it easier to work.

I pulled a muscle last night. In my groin. YOOOOOWWWWIIIIIEEEEEEE! Cut my workout short. Walking over to get dumb bells was painful. Soccer practice tonight. Can't wait to see how that goes. I have a pair of tri shorts on under my jeans today because they are more compressiony than my compression shorts.

We are getting in on the 27th. I need to look up all the hotel, flight arrangements.

Someone thought that 9 was too young to run a 5k. I politely disagreed.

What are the plans for meeting up in DC?  We will be staying just south of DC at Ft. Belvoir with our grandkids, but want to meet up with everyone prior to race day.  Maybe dinner out with the group the night before???  Who all is going?

I'm not running. I am in no way shape or form ready to run right now. I have started working out again, but I have a long way to go. Plus I pulled a groin muscle last night so walking right now is painful.

Way to go! Both running and surviving are very good things.

kns57 - 2011-10-18 9:53 AM Hubby and I are driving up.  We are thinking of leaving Tue night and stopping in Marshall, NC, and then going the rest of the way on Wed rather than do a long drive on Wed.  Then we will be driving all the way home on Monday.  Don't think we will be home in time for Trick or Treating.  gee, darn, I don't have to buy any candy. 

Jim and I are flying then renting a car. We care coming up on the 27th and leaving on the 1st. You all want to get together before the race, or after? I am up for either, both or something different, too.

I saw that. I read the thread. Looks like a lot of people agreed with you. Did you see the plaque for the guy from 1975 finishing the boston marathon at 11 years old?
