Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Turkey Trottin' Through November ironannekidd - 2011-11-15 7:31 AM I am now a probationary member of the Thurmont Ambulance Club. I put in my application so I could help more with the Search and Rescue team. In the past I would volunteer to go out and be a subject for them for training. The ambulance club changed the rules that you had to be a member in order to help. So I became a member. SAR training every other Sunday now, Saturday nights over the summer when it is hot. In March we have to spent the night in the woods and we can only bring whatever we can carry in our rescue packs. Does anyone know how to shrink my mattress and pillow down into pocket size? That sounds like fun, Ann. |

Up at 4:15 to drive to Bristol RI for a funeral. Dear friend whose hubby has CA just lost her dad. So sad. It was a beautiful day and Bristol is lovely. Sunny and warm. Church was on the water and then the family held a reception at the yacht club. Wish it had been for happier circumstances. Glad it was a nice location and day for such a sad event. |

I need to get my First Responder certification, but they will pay for me to be an EMT if I want to take the classes. |

It is raining cats and dogs (I'll grab a puppy for you, Ann) so the drive is going to be a Subaru commercial. Good thing I have a Subaru. PUPPIIIIIEEEEEESSSS!!!! Here is a puppy story for you. A Day In The Life of Milo The Wonder Pup Yesterday, my husband and son were going on a sixth grade field trip to Washington DC. The boys had to be at school early, which means my daughter also had to be up early to be dropped off at grandma's. Apparently things were crazy yesterday morning in the house. After work I went to get my hair cut, then straight down to Grandma's to pick up my daughter to take her to piano lessons. We didn't get home until almost 6:00 last night. I pulled into the garage and my golden lab, Wynn, was in the garage but I didn't see Milo. I called him several times, but then headed inside. As soon as I opened the door he came flying OUT of the house! I asked Keri if they let him out that morning, she said she didn't know. We went in and the dog bed was now in the middle of the living room, and there was a cover torn off of a book, other than that the house was in one piece. The boys walked in the door a few minutes after we got home and I told them Milo was in the house when we got home. My husband smacked his forehead and said in all the chaos of the morning he must have forgotten to let him out. That means that Milo hadn't been out to do his business for about 22 hours. He DID NOT go anywhere in the house, unless he was able to hide it, which I am highly going to doubt. He's a good puppy. |

I'm waiting for the day for one of your pups to become a search and rescue dog. Seems like you have already made the first steps in that direction. ceilidh - 2011-11-15 10:32 AM ironannekidd - 2011-11-15 7:31 AM I am now a probationary member of the Thurmont Ambulance Club.
