MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Nibbs XLV - Baby Nibblets One of my customers came into the library this morning predicting that the world was going to end this year due to all the wars and natural disasters that are happening. He said that he has never seen the world like this so it must be coming to an end. He is all of 16 years old. I told him to go and do some research on weather and such in history to see if this weather is really an extreme since his time of reference is so small. |

Lol he has no doubt picked that up somewhere... ive heard the same comment... that whole Mayan calendar thing! Uh oh: "... researchers have used historical texts and ancient inscriptions to draw direct correlations between the Long Count calendar and our modern calendar. Through this work, they determined that the beginning of the current Great Cycle likely fell on Aug. 11, 3114 B.C., making the end of the current Great Cycle land on -- you guessed it -- Dec. 21, 2012 (or potentially Aug. 13 and Dec. 23, depending on which scholar you ask)." http://history.howstuffworks.com/central-american-history/world-end... Hm. I'm confuzled..... Are we the cure for boredom? Or are we equated with boredom? Maybe I should just go drink --- well. something other than what you're drinking, because that doesn't sound good at all.... I know, I should go drink something blue and fruity, and that has an umbrella in it. Yep. And, of course, I'll need to take a nice vacation to a tropical island to get it. |

If he does realize how important it is, then he will eventually come around. Now, you might have to wait a while. D001 - 2012-03-02 11:38 AM kaqphin - 2012-02-29 9:45 PM Hm. Ive told him he can ask me when he is ready lol No idea... dont think he is as fussed with the idea as I am! A lot of his friends have partners and kids without being married so I dont think he see's the same value in it I do! My sister and her husband, when she was ready, he wasn't. Then he was ready, and she wasn't. Then she was ready again and he wasn't. You see how this is going, right? Well, after 20 years of being together, he finally proposed and she said yes, and a year later they got married and have been married for 6 years now. But they might as well have been married before because they moved all over the country togehter, bought two houses together, cars, etc. Anyway, they are both happily married now. Me on the other hand, hubby proposed after 3 weeks of dating, and we were married 9 months later. We will be celebrating 30 years of marriage come July. And still very happy with each other.
