TAN.

Today's "dusty tome," published in 1982, is William H. McNeill's The Pursuit of Power:  Technology, Armed Force, and Society since A.D. 1000.

Fortunately, I only have to read like 270 pages of it, through A.D. 1884.

I think it might be out of date.

ScuddyMuffin. I dig it.

I almost bought a big dusty tome on insects today. It looked really interesting. Then I saw the price.

Don't ask me what I was doing out when I'm supposed to be tied to my bed.

Hi TAN,

Just got back from my lunchtime swim and all was good until the very last set I was doing.  Enter a very large black man in a very small white Speedo for swim lessons.

The look on the instuctor's face as he walked toward her = priceless!

So ... "very large" refers to ...

Nothing that was encased IN the Speedo (sadness).  It was more the entire size of the person that was very large.

I would have given him a {MELON PRESS}. Clearly in a small white Speedo, he is comfortable with his body.

Good questions.

Well, I had "old" parents (43 and 48 when they had me, which is nothing nowadays but was a big deal back then), but they seemed young to me. To me, "old" then was 50 or 55.

Now, "old" is 80 and up.  That's about right in line with my age progression. 60s doesn't seem old to me, 70s, it depends on the person.

When I was younger I thought mid thirties was old. Now that I'm 34 I think 50 is old, I'm sure when I'm in my late 40's I will think 70 is old.

I probably deserve that. I WAS going to add in that for you, Yanti, age is a non-factor. But I decided to get myself in trouble instead.
