DigitalRain - 2012-09-27 7:50 PM 3 mile run today on the treadmill, I actually PR'd for the 5k on the treadmill! Now if I could do it on the pavement it would be awesome.

A PR is a PR - awesome job...

I have never ran 5 miles all under 8:00 minutes and I love the curve of my splits.

15 runs in 12 days.

Question, I have another duathlon coming up (though I think it's just past the 30 days). It's a sprint, so very short runs. I mapped it out and the runs came out to 1.99 miles. How would this count if they turn out to be under 2? I'll be well under 20 min and it's the same course for both runs.

Bob and weave a bit. Or, for the love of Crowie, I'll spot you the hundredth of a mile. It's in a race. It counts.

Ok - FINE ! (said like a teenage kid)... I guess I'll spot you the hundredth of a mile.

You're ok. I may have to reconsider the avatar.

I just saw your new avatar.... Love it!

Keep running and that will change....The Claaaw is starting to come around.

I meant that for The Claaaw's avatar. Mine would say "I don't like you either".

Muskrat, you're good in my book.

Fair warning, I think my knees want you dead.

Alas, day 13 was a big old goose egg.

Looks like a 29 runs in 30 day challenge.

You are welcome to join with a current streak already in place.....but at the end of the challenge, whenever that may be, we reserve the right to claim your miles and days, prior to the challenge, as our own, when we total it up.  Cool

Day 15 down...easy recovery run after yesterday.

4 miles - 8:36, 8:56, 8:50, 8:24.  I love that this average of 8:41 is now a "recovery" run.  I remember when my goal was to run sub 9:00....

Has anyone else noticed their appetite increasing?  I can't stop eating!!

Curious, why?  I'm curious because I see that day on the horizon.....it's not this day, but it's out there.

Did a swim day as my left ankle/side of foot are really sore (?). I do think this was my final OWS of the season-lake was pretty chilly and was totally messing with my breathing and my feet going numb. Can I count all the aquajogging I was doing as my partners and I complained about the not-so-warm-anymore lake (there was a lot of complaining)?

I will be back to running tomorrow.

Yes, we will allow you to count this as a two mile run, or three 1 mile runs (which don't count).

Now get back to bidness.

Thanks for the flexibility Wink I will be back to bidness. Shockingly enough, I sort of enjoy my runs these days. I have never enjoyed running (unless it was after a soccer ball). Finally up to four miles a day at an ~8:30 pace (no garmin, just my usual watch timer). Been listening to some awesome new music and enjoying the warm fall. Thanks for the challenge! Sunday will be a true challenge - my best friend is getting married on Saturday at the McMenamin's Grand Lodge (Forest Grove, OR) and it is Octoberfest. Sunday might be a tad sluggish.

I have little pains that pop up one day, and are gone the next.  My new favorite thing to do, that seems to really help, is an "ice bath".  I don't actually put ice in the tub, but I turn the cold water on, sit in the tub immediately (while it filling up), grab the Galaxy Note and read the news on the internet.  After the water is covering my thighs (I only submerge my legs) - I sit in it for 20 mins.

Drain the tub, then take a warm shower.  It does wonders for the legs.

Of course - only you know your body.  I have gotten to the point where I know which pains to be worried about, and which ones to HTFU then ice when done.

Hope you're foot is feeling better.
