I'm not sure if I'm more happy about today being a rest day or that the weekend in just about here!  Maybe the rest day thing bc I don't get to sleep in this weekend. 

What's everyone got on tap for the weekend?  I'm doing a 55-60 mile ride tomorrow.  We're meeting at 6am, which is a little less than thrilling, but I'll still have the whole day ahead of me when I get home.  Then hopefully drop the bike off for a much needed & overdue tune up.  Sunday is set to be a 13 mile run and assuming the rain holds off another OWS.

I am pumped (and a lil' wore out) from just reading your weekend plans...   Great schedule Kelli, you are really putting to the TL's!

OWS Saturday morning... last wetsuit training swim for BSLT.  I am hoping to fit in another ride Sunday (my parent's 40th Anniversary Party is Saturday night) so I must use M-O-D-E-R-A-T-I-O-N as the mantra for the celebration.  Some where in there ~ maybe Saturday afternoon ~ a 6 mile run... take on some heat!

evondo - 2009-06-12 2:50 PM I normally only change the tires out before a big race although I did have to replace one because I wore the tread completely off to the point where you could see tube. I always use the Continental Grand Prix 4000s because of their durability and haven't ever had a flat with them (knock on wood, no not you Justin...)

I'm hoping for a less crazy week at work this week and the good news is even if it's crazy I'm headed out of town after lunch on Thursday One of my best friends is getting married so we get to head to New Braunfels for a fun filled weekend of partying and river floating!

Newtons1st - 2009-06-15 3:36 PM Good lord I come back to 314 e-mails. I mean seriuosly can none else do anytihng when I am gone? The last 2 days were a bust for me. I had planned on running Sunday night when I got back but it was late and it just didnt happen. Anyway really looking forward to get in the pool. Since last Fridays swim got nixed it feels like forever since I have swam. I am ready to hit it hard these next 2 weeks then a good easy week to the race.

Your buddy won't know what hit him... when you stroll across the finish line AHEAD of him!  Crush his dreams!   You didn't miss much not running.... except the sweat fest that is Texas right now!  The hottest days of the year so far...  heat indexes in excess of 100... wtf? It's not even August yet!  Come on cool front!   I gotta better chance of hittin' the lottery then gettin' a cool front to blow through! lol!
